So, piece of advice for the guy in the silverado. You have a rear locker. It doesn't work if you floor it. Ease into it when you start spinning and it'll lock, I offroad in similar conditions and I've made it up 14 degree hills in 10 inches of snow with no trouble. Just my .02
@@aequitas1976 The rear locker G80 diff) engages and locks both tires into engagement after it detects one of the tires slipping. Z71's come with it. Regular 4x4 silverados have an open diffferential in the rear. Which sucks for snow and mud lol youll just spin and bang the rev limiter. It doesnt have any indicator besides a clunk when it engages.
@@frenchfrysz6695 if memory serves me well the locker is standard equipment on all 2014 and later silverados, my 2014 was just a 4x4 and it had it. My buddy's 18 is a 4x4 and it also has it.
I'll never forget the Georgia snowpocalypse in 2015, watched a 5.0 mustang struggling to climb the hill out of our neighborhood. I didnt look that steep, but it showed me the importance of a proper rig
I’ve been through sets on sets on sets and then a few more wheels n tires honestly the Patagonia MT is the ONE tire I’ve found to not throw rocks slow fast air Ed up or not. Not the greatest if you need it in the mud they need to spin fast to clean but other than that they eat
