Yes you can convert your 4 seater Prius prime into a 5 seat. 30 min diy project
Parts:
Rear seat
Rear back rest ( center anchor optional)
2 bottom buckles
Center bottom cover molding
Tools
10mm 12mm 14mm cockers
You can order the leather kit from

select year 2020
Make: Toyota Prius
Parts type in seat and select 2nd row seat
and search by zip code for parts

This is all great but how about the V5? What if police stop you with 5 people in the car what have only 4 seats? Do you have to notify them about the car mod or it is safe just drive like this?

This car is modified into 5 seats with 5 seats belts just like any other Prius. As stated in the video the 3 passenger seat as well as the additional safety belt fit in just like other Prius and fin you look 2019 or 2020 Prius prime with same body began the 5 seater option. All it is an easy modification. Also if you drive following the laws police don’t stop you for no reason.

Do the replacement. seats need to be from a Prius prime or do they fit from a regular Prius?

I didn’t look into the regular Prius seat just went with another prime! Most junk yards should be able to tell you if they are interchangeable! Or call dealer and ask for part numbers! If they are same part number they are interchangeable. Sometimes even different part numbers may fit with small chance like cup holder or cloth vs leather, but the pain part would still fit
