Good video of a home grown hunt. I like these of people on a public hunt. No guide, no 10k tag, no lodge, no 20k in gear. Just you, basic gear and the great Valle Vidal. I am in Santa Fe and hunt each year I can draw. Been south by Wheeler Pk and more. Years of memories.
You did a great job shooting your elk and I love the video. The way you put everything from getting new equipment to your anniversary to going back in with the dogs. Looking forward to more adventure and outings
What a great hunt! and couple! So proud of you guys. Your calm nature, really works well together in the woods. It's good to see smart, intelligent hunters, who have put in the work. I hope I draw next season.
That was superb! My wife and I went elk hunting in the Gila 17 years ago when we had been married 25 years and I was fortunate enough to take a beautiful 320 class bull elk with my bow. As she was helping me pack it out, with every breath I could hear her saying -never again, never again. I laugh about it now but the memories warm my heart after all these years. Your video was perfect. I hope you will do it again.H
Robert Rivera this is the Hawk Crawler deer cart. We got ours from Roger’s sporting goods (ordered online). Works better than any other cart we’ve tried.
Awesome hunt in God's country. What a blessing to kill a bull like that! I really like the picture at 23:37; classic elk hunting in every sense of the word! What rifle/cartridge combo did you use?
Awesome! Man you and your wife put in some work I can’t even imagine to the wood burning stove and all! My brother drew this tag for this October 12 we’ve been up once have no clue where to hunt or even start it will be an adventure! Any tips?
Hey buddy! We had a great time on this hunt. The biggest advice we can give is to get off the roads. Lots of folks will cruise the roads or stay within a mile or so of their vehicle. Prepare to get deep and you’ll do great! Good luck!
Beautiful area! awesome job documenting it! We love seeing this. Check out our videos on our channel, I guarantee you'll recognize some of the country! Congrats on the once in a lifetime bull!
Wow so inspiring, what a great hunt!!! I drew a once in a lifetime in Valle Vidal first rifle for this year and it will be myself and wife that will also be packing in and hunting Elk. We’ve already been up in the area once last week but any suggestion on location you killed or any other good spots you’ve scouted up there would really cool? We already got a handful more times this summer planned to go scouting.
