Felt like Mustafina was criminally underscored. Hit her handstands, glued her legs together, great releases, stuck her landing, and BOOM. Felt like her execution was a 9 which would make her score 14.8 🙆
The problem was her D SCORE. She just didn’t have the difficulty she used to. In a different competition later it was explained she did not have her in bars back, was doing toe-ons which lowered her SV a good bit. That was the biggest problem for her.
@@rejepeshe gave Seitz FOUR TENTHS in start value alone. The last two handstands- the last during her last pirouette- were both LATE. Elizabeth received a two tenth lower E score, which was quite fair. Aliya got hit for her own late pirouettes and that, coupled with the difficulty difference gave Seitz the advantage. It’s as simple as that. They stole NOTHING from her, and she’d tell you exactly that!!
I understand that Aliya didn't medal because her D score is the lowest. But how the hell she gets E score of 8.633 and Nina 8.700??? Their performance isn't even comparable, Aliya was way cleaner, no relaxed feet, no unpointed toes, let alone flappy legs ...
they gave beth seitz a pity bronze after she lost 2016 olympic bronze to her teammate by < 0.1 ... mustafina was clearly better, stuck her landing, cleaner form throughout.
@QPHashSS77 I agree with this. Aliya's form was really really good. They fucked her execution score. And I'm not even an Aliya stan to see how her form is superior than everyone in this UB final
you could really tell that even nastia and tim know that aliya was underscored, everyone who knows gymnasts knows that. shame on the jude’s who made this to give seitz a pity bronze on UB. but anyway everyone already knows that mustafina it’s the GOAT on the UB
OMG aha hahahahaha where did those judges find 1.367 deductions in Aliya’s routine? Absurdity. Mount perfect. Dismount perfect. Transition from low back to high perfect. Maybe a .1 or .3 on one handstand for sure but where the they find 1.367!?!? Absolutely ridiculous.
@@adarshminj2543 I am not a judge, but I would have taken .1 at multiple hand stands, some deductions based on the catching angle of the releases as well as small leg seperations
@@alyssavanauker720 .1 for hndstnd before toe on back, .3 for angle on pak, .1 for leg sep on piked jeager, .1 for bent arms, .1 for toe on 1/1, .1 for bent knees before dismount. i found .8 visible deductions, this squad has just extra strict judges.
I’m an official and former competitor in a different sport- track and field- and have made one inarguable observation about gymnastics fans. 98 percent are spiteful, hate filled, angry and venom spewing folk who get a rise out of demeaning both judges and athletes for no discernible purpose other than an attempt to get a meaningless point across. So glad my parents encouraged me to steer away from this ugly and bully laden sport.
people thinking that derwael is better than aliya on UB 😭😭😭, if aliya was in shape she could’ve made EASILY a 6.4 or MORE d score and her e score just eats nina’s ass please
@@Bxyxox Yeah she had the lowest D score, but her execution was so robbed. I want you to find more than a point wrong with that. And then while you’re at it, make sense of Simone and Nina’s d scores.
@@Bxyxox you can get a high score even if your d-score is lower when the execution is perfect. if aliya was given a higher e-score as she should've done then she absolutely would've contended for a medal
@@Bxyxox but Simone failed in tenacity. She couldn't even compete in AA despite being the best in the world until a few days ago (qualifications). Aliya was injured in Rio and still won the bars gold and competed AA twice- in team for a silver and in individual AA final for a bronze. Had Simone competed with a simple floor and vault, she would've still won, but now she's labelled as a quitter (though I don't agree with those people who call her that based off one performance).
@@fortheloveofcats2462 but I think we can all say she was/is better than every single person who competed at every single competition she has competed in since worlds 2013.
@@Bxyxox aww thanks for the kindness. I was saying that because, well, to my eyes (and in no way am i affiliated with WAG, im just a fan) Aliya did well. Also, did it really take you 8 months to come up with a response?
@@fudgyoreo I just saw your comment yesterday lol. Aliya didn’t have the difficulty level this time around, although I do think she could’ve gotten the bronze - her execution score shouldve been higher. Biles had the difficult and good execution. Both are combined to get the overall score
