Haven't been to Fraser yet, living in Perth as I do. Hopefully letting my tyres down, turning off the traction control and not towing an anchor will do the trick.
Looks to me a combination of soft sand, tyre pressure (including the trailers) and not enough mumbo. Trailer pressure needs to be at least 10% lower the the tow vehicle. I’ve towed heavy trailers through here on 18 psi on the tow vehicle and 8psi on the trailer without any issues.
@@kentstructures4388 Depends how heavy your trailer is mate. Most campers will be fine on 8-10 psi. Also, having your track width on the trailer the same as your cars ttack width makes a massive difference
I have limited experience but. Iv towed our camper to Fraser 4+ times. It enough gear to beach camp for a week. Last time was with our new Hilux. Dead stock. I don’t know what they do wrong but iv never been bogged here. I remember stoping in the middle because the line up was so long.
Does the trailer brakes autolock when the pigtail isnt plugged in? I have one like that, if it pulls loose from my truck it locks the brakes automatically. I dont think they have it plugged in and its locked lol.
I own a 150 series prado and v8 79 Ute ... the prado should of been pulling the cruiser out .. I don’t understand how you can get one bogged in sand they are amazing on the beach
Reduce Tyre pressure is critical here in soft sand situations & I have to say heavy loads weather in the vehicle or trailer exacerbate the bogging problem... R
There are thousands off patrols and landcruisers running upto fortys illegally wrecking tracks every where . if you have had to follow them you'd know what i mean.
Yeah , the way i see it ,, too hard rubber,, not enough momentum and a lot of vehicles just to heavy loaded. Better rename it to In-Bog Point,,,,its a good teach for the townies,,,,
I,m not an expert- but come on its not that hard is to have a little common sense -its not as you don't know where you spending your weekend - would you not seek advise on what to do in sand ? well maybe not by the look of some people - just saying.
50 thousand and up dollar Toyota's bogged everywhere. Some of them are really just for picking the kids up from school just because they 4x4 they're stock standard sink buggies. I want my money back.
