The picture of the girl standing in front of the machinery is of a Bobbing girl. My Irish grandmother worked as one after she graduated 8th grade. She was only 4'7 tall and being tiny was a prerequisite so you fit between the machines and workers.
Wow! Glad I happened to stumble across this informative video presentation. The info provided regarding Gilded Age scandals was both enlightening and immensely entertaining!! Thank you.
1) Princess Alice got her comeuppance when she accused Cissy Patterson of leaving hairpins in her library after her affair: Cissy's answer was "if you had looked in the chandelier, you would have found my panties." 2) Mrs. Alice Keppel was the great-grandmother of the other famous marriage wrecker: Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. 3) Mary Lily Kenan was from an old NC family, and according to Sally Bingham (her grandfather was Mary Lily's 2nd husband) M.L. would die of syphilis, a gift from Henry Flagler.
They ..Thw world controllers.. would like US.. You and I ..the " sheep" as they call us.. " the herd" to all stay separate and fighting amongst ourselves..lest we join together and turn on THEM. They see us as livestock. .stupid beasts..sub human. We are all endowed with UnAlienable Rights of Man Kind by OUR Creator That is why they despise us and pit us against one another. Spoiler alert.... .we..( you and I win in the end..only wjrn we unite against them).
Mary Lilly Flagler was from a wealthy North Carolina family, she wasn't anyone's servant. Her real story, as Mr. Fraser says, has almost everything you could want in a gilded age scandal.
🏆 Mary and Henry were a most attractive couple. I love the fact that the "Universal Law of Attraction" is absolute and validated by Quantum Physics, Science, and thus *"We are creating our own Reality."* Go Mary and Henry!!! Thoughts well done! 💫
Evelyn Nesbit was also involved with Drew's grandpa John Barrymore. He wanted to marry her, but her mother disapproved since he was a struggling actor. There are rumors she aborted their kid. Stanley paid for it. I heard of the Grover Cleveland paternity scandal, but never heard the whole story.
Fabulous and fascinating stories! Don Fraser is a master storyteller. Do you have more presentations like this? I love historical preservation mixed with excellent stories.
Interesting talk with great pictures... Why not keep the camera on the picture as Mr Fraser explains the setting? He , Fraser, is standing in front of an ugly wall... very distracting.
He was let out of prison and back in the thirties he and Evelyn attempted to getting together again, bu,t it did not work. He only left just a little bit of his fortune to her.
my mother's father was a wealthy plantation owner and controlled Biermosa tabasco Mexico, until the populous rise up and overthrown his control over the state or attempted that he sent his daughter my mom to the u.s to live with his sisters, her autn and she became a lifetime legal residents .she thinks that she is too old to work to become a legal American citizen so she doesn't try to work at it's. My great grandfather owned too much of tabasco and the citizens uprising his control over tobacco and he had to give some of his lands and allow the populous to control the government, but my ancestors in Mexico were not different than pirate and my current relatives that I don't know are bad.
"stag parties". nothing new under the sun 😞 omg those rooms. magnificent 😲 how did we know what happened on the wedding night of Elizabeth Could and Harry Lair (sorry for the spelling)? great way to conclude the tour on the greatest scandal that is, the poverty necessary to allow those gilded fortunes to be built and maintained. a 70yo Prince Charming. well beggars can't be choosers 🙄
In fact Mr Fraser is inviting you to do just what you did. Research to reveal the the back story. It’s not incorrect information which obviously Mr Fraser painstakingly gathered over many hours. We should be grateful he has brought history to life for us as few can. Really enjoyed it.
