I was able to follow along for my 2023 Uforce 1000 XL and it works perfectly. Didn’t even have to take the box off. I just folded the heat shield down in the rear since it’s soft aluminum. I greatly appreciate you posting this detailed video!
@@Emilysmith34236 hell yes they do! I still have my fuse box I wired in along with all of my accessories and my blinkers + reverse lights work perfect.
Great Video. The plug mentioned at the 19:30 mark is for the Windshield Wiper/Washer available at least since this year 2023. I had been searching for it in all the wrong places and figured I would have to add an accessory fuse block (which I will anyway) but your pointing out its existence saved me much time! Thank you, and I wanted to share this tidbit to help any other folks getting the OEM glass windshield & wiper.
Much appreciated! I’ve got a ‘23 XL and just did this very same mod and it worked beautifully. Thanks for saving me the time of color coding the rear wiring.
Thank you so much for the video! I am not a mechanic but this took me right thru the process and though it does not look as cool as your finished product all worked. Very COOL!
Thanks for the video!! I just finished an install on my 2022 uforce 1000. The colors haven't changed. I was able to make the connections on the bed without taking it off. I do have a heat shield. Now on to a license plate mount and light. Thanks again!!
I really enjoyed your strive to do your work perfect and right the first time. You do a great job and I like how you do things. Very impressive. Thank you James A
Thanks for watching and the kind words! I look at it as being "long term lazy"... Im just too lazy to put myself in a position where I'll have to go back and fix it later! Lol
You're welcome, thanks for watching. It can definitely be done without removing the heat shield, but for recording purposes it was easier to pull the bed so I could show what I was doing better.
You're welcome! I'm sure it's available from many retailers. I picked one up at Auto Zone, and ordered one from Amazon as well. Advance Auto, O'Reilly, NAPA, Pep Boys, etc may all carry it too, or another brand that does the same thing. The biggest thing is to make sure that whatever one you use is made for LED lights, and looks like it's fairly well sealed since it will be somewhat exposed to the elements.
@Newcomer Garage Looks like the lights already have the blinkers in them just not hooked up. Also found plugs running to the lights just not hooked to anything. Even has a fuse labeled signals already. So guessing a flasher switch and wire identification to the lights to tie too and should be good.
So adding the relay and switch for the uforce 1000 works great. Nothing else needed to do for the front lights. The rear has wires running to each side that recieves the flashing signal. Not sure if I can just tie this to the green and yellow wire that gets voltage when brake is pressed. Wouldnt that just cancel out the signal function when I press the brakes?
@@captainchaosfpv5188 Are you talking about a 600 or a 1000? On my 1000, there were wires coming out of the OEM taillights for "factory turn signals", but inside the light itself there is no LED array connected to it. That is the reason for having to add the trailer wiring adapter. I was under the impression you bought the 600 based on your first comment, but you said 1000 on this comment so I'm a little confused now. lol
@Newcomer Garage Sorry for the confusion. Mine is a 600. Bought the switch and flasher for a 1000 which worked great for getting the front amber leds to flash.
Your instructions were awesome thanks! Im getting a rapid signal on passenger side and normal on the other do you know what can cause that? Bad ground?
Great video! When I took apart my 2023 1000xl under the box my blue and orange wires ran continuously to the lights and the wire with the green and yellow stripe was spit several times. Any advice on how to proceed with this? Thanks!
Question. Do see any reason I shouldn't be able to splice and connect the 48895 after the plug for the box so all my connections would be on the box side of the plug? I've watched your video over and over I can't figure any problem that I can see with that. What do you think? Once again thanks. Awsome Video !
I suppose you could do it after the plug, but then you would need to secure the module to the bed somewhere. It just seemed more practical to me to do it before the plug.
Yep your right... I did it the way you did. Nowww I have to get some help putting the Bed back on... 😆 not real heavy just so awkward. Thanks again. With the help of your videos it looks clean and professional, pretty much OEM Stock. Thanks, Steve.
Thank you so much for making this, awesome job and super helpful. I might need to try it myself! I saw you had a horn toggle, did you install the horn also?
Great video, I have one problem on my 2022 unforce 1000 ,there is no green with yellow stripe coming from left (drivers side) taillight and my left brake light is out. Right side (passenger) works great flashes and brake light. I do have a flashing test probe on left side for orange wire, the signal is there. Can I jump on brown wire? Brand new vehicle. Ideas?
The blinker wires are present in the factory wiring at either headlight and the harness on the bed by either taillight. Machines sold in markets outside of the US came with turnsignals, so the wiring is all there to use with the OEM lights. I go over all of the colors and locations in the video.
We hooked up the flasher and turn signal switch. Now the running lights shut off when turning the signal on. The dim turn off and the high beam stay on. Any ideas on a fix?
@hffhtgdhg3224 I'm not familiar with the 2022-23 models, but I do know that there are some differences from the '21 and older models like mine. First of all, did you use the switch and flasher that I listed in the video description? If so, those are not the correct ones for the '22+ machines. If you used the correct parts for your year of machine, it might be a built in feature on the newer units much like newer vehicles that shut off the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) when the turnsignals are activated to make the turnsignals more visible. It's common in the automotive industry on vehicles that have the signal lights integrated into the headlight assembly like the OEM signal lights from CFMoto do.
I have a 2023, tied into the front ground and baby blue (passenger side) but I’m not getting 12 volts from there. Tried the driver side and same thing. I got the oem switch and the flasher module which for the 2023 is a different part number but I can’t figure out why I’m not getting 12v. Getting around 4-6v. I used the same ground and tested another cable in the harness and I do get 12v. Any ideas?
I read it depends on your voltmeter and how quickly it cycles. Mine also was showing, somewhat erratically, like 3-6 volts as it blinked. Worked fine though.
Yup 100% right. I also was trying to use sequential led lights for turn signals and those did not work with the flasher module. Wired regular led light and that did the trick. Thanks!
I ran all wires up to the solenoid tap the wires that come from the bottom of the solenoid and it has a ground wire with the switch and the switch works now but it’s always on so I took ground wire off so the light isn’t on in the switch but switch still works without key turned I am leaving it like that hopefully it won’t drain battery I would think that would be ok long as you don’t use winch without the uforce running Tks so much for help
Not sure what's going on with it being powered all of the time, mine only works with the key on. You can shoot me a picture of where you made your connections @ NewcomerGarage@gmail.com, and I'll see if you did something different than what I did.
Thanks for the video. Do the reverse lights still work I have a 2022 that I'm getting ready to do this same deal too I just ordered my parts from cfmoto today
I purchased the taillights with turn signals (Canada version). Only difference I saw was amber lights vs white. They were supposed to be plug n play but nope, you still have to do all this monkeying around !
@shaunschober2255 What year is your machine? My '21 does not do that, but the newer units use a different switch and flasher that may have that feature
So I did everything in the video and I don't have back turn signals or brake lights now. I've traced every step and did exactly what you had for cuts, splices and wires. Where do I start to figure this out? I've gone back and forth, rewatched the video and double checked and it's exactly like you have. Help!
Watched your video and installed signals on my u800 but can't figure out how to keep the turn signal flashing while applying the brake. Any suggestions?
I'm not familiar with the U800, but I suspect it's similar to the 1000. Did you cut the brake wire back where the "trailer light" adapter is installed or did you just tie into it without cutting it? It has to be cut as that is what essentially separates the left and right lights from each other. Other than that common mistake, all I can recommend is double checking all of the connections and make sure you tied all of the wires that were cut into the corresponding wires correctly. (Make sure that any wires that were cut to make connections have the connections made on the correct side of the cut.) There's also the possibility of getting a defective trailer light adapter...
@Tanner Kramer That is normal operation. You maybe didn't notice it before the install, but that is how all of them are from the factory. (It's been mentioned in a lot of the FB groups multiple times)
That's too bad... From what others are telling me, the 2022-23 are the same as the earlier units as far as the wiring is concerned. The only difference is that they use a different model number flasher and switch.
Question for ya doing my winch rocker switch and it won’t work but I think I have the power from the turn signal flasher will that make it not work and can I run power and ground to the solenoid Tks
You should be able to just extend the 3 small gauge wires up at the solenoid (Red,Black, and Green) in to your rocker switch and it should work. You'll need another 12v and ground to the switch if you want the lights on the switch to work as well. I wouldn't go trying to pull power from other accessories as you may end up inadvertently backfeeding components or supplying circuits with multiple feeds and that may make your fusing ineffective.
I'm not a fan of the way it looks having LEDs drilled into or surface mounted on the bed. Honestly, I'm not super thrilled about them in the front bumper either, but on the bed, they are susceptible to being damaged easily when loading or unloading things from the bed. Using the existing lights is a cleaner, more professional looking end result in my opinion.
Awesome informative Video. I got all the Components like you from CFMoto USA for my 2022 Uforce 1000XL. + a hazard light switch, just thought I'd ask if you know if there is prewired plug for the Hazard light switch to plug into under the dash without having to do more splicing? really respect your opinion. I googled it everywhere I could think to look, but no luck. any info you could share will be very much appreciated. I'm looking forward to getting to it so I can get as street legal as possible for an offroad SXS. thanks again for your time, knowledge and work putting all your Videos out for us.
I'm sure there is a plug for the hazard lights as well. Basically if it was standard equipment in other markets outside of the US, it's pretty much already wired for it. It's cheaper for the manufacturer to just have one wiring harness for each model regardless of its final destination.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. I'm ok with alittle wiring but not absolutely confident in my ability. 😆. So thanks for the second opinion. And Thanks for getting back to me so quickly .
Yes, I installed a rocker switch for the winch so I'm not fumbling with the wired controller or dealing with dead batteries and/or losing the wireless controller. Unfortunately, I currently live in Illinois... Hoping to someday make the move to Arizona.
The winch solenoid is up under the hood, and partially under the drivers side fender. If I recall, the wires that you need to tap on to for adding the rocker switch are the small gauge Red, Black, and Green.
It should be similar, but im not certain since I haven't worked on a '22 personally. I have heard though that the flasher and/or switch are different for the '22. If you look it up on the CFMOTO parts website (CurrenRV), they should be able to get you the correct ones. The rest should be basically the same, but wire colors may be different.
