If only I could have had more handle time with this airplane before the official start of the Nationals. This airplane is 700 sq in at only 58.5 ounces. It fly's better then I flew it. The engine is a Super Tigre 60 with a rev-up 13"x 6" prop. This was the first time using those Russian flying lines that I thought were great.
First of all thank you for your comment because it helps grow the channel. Just to explain there is no penalty for extra laps after any maneuver unless a person goes over eight minutes for the total flight; a person will lose pattern points which are worth twenty five points. There are some minimum laps required e.g. After most maneuvers usually two laps are required. The exceptions are five laps between take off and the reverse wingover (only two of the laps are judged) and a minimum of six laps of inverted flight (only two of the laps are judged) after the inside loops. Between the hourglass there is a minimum of two and half laps before the overhead eights. Now between the horizontal square eight and the hourglass there is a minimum of two laps but no maximum. The only maximum lap limit is being able to complete all the required maneuvers and roll to a completed stop before eight minutes. If I remember correctly I took an extra lap there to decide where I wanted to started the square8 maneuver and it was windy that flight. One last thing is I had only a couple practice flights with model airplane before this official flight at the US Nationals. Did I say that this wasn’t my airplane?
