Extremely unlikely. Little hatchbacks like the A1 just wouldn't sell well in the US. That's also the same reason why the Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatch, BMW 1 Series and the Toyota GR Yaris aren't sold there either.
Scratching the dash on the left before setting off was really not necessary. All cars have hard trim somewhere, and you’re not touching it when driving anyway !
