So 3 years later these things (well, the 840 i and d versions anyway) have taken such a massive hit on depreciation here in the UK you can pick 'em up with 20k miles and two years old from a main dealer for about half the list price. Which... is annoyingly tempting! Put it this way, a fully loaded 840i complete with that ridiculously expensive sound upgrade or an ex-demo new M240i Coupe for slightly less than the cost of a new Golf R... heck of a choice. Gotta ask though why on earth did you try to put actual humans in the baggage holders? I know the belts do technically fit people but they're clearly only there to keep your luggage in place while driving enthusiastically. BMW just call 'em seats to throw Merc off the scent of this latest innovation in personal convenience...
I’ve been eyeing one of those (old m850i) for a while since my car just got stolen. My only issue with the 8 series is that they have worse back seats than my 430 which is way smaller than the 8, but at least this video shows it’s still usable for a short trip.
I was appreciating the video and then you guys made me lose respect, you are not car guys. That's not how you handle a car with frameless windows @12:56. Please be more responsible.
