Ye, I get what you're saying, but I see them as bikes from very different categories and for very different purposes, so my intention is to keep both and just see how things go for now. 👍👍👍

2022 GSA here. I have owned a lot of motorcycles including a lovely K1300S Motorsports. The GSA is a bike that everyone should own and do a big trip on at least once in their lives. It’s the only bike I feel that way about. It’s just a wonderful companion for traveling. I’m sure the 1300 GSA will be very nice but I never buy the first two model years of anything.

Yes the 1250GSA has certainly AMAZED me, it truly is a great "all-rounder", I'm really enjoying it and yes I think the new 1300 (& rumour is the GSA version may be a 1400), will be hard to resist, I'm very much looking forward to seeing and hearing about that. Can't see me being able to wait two model years though, you've obviously got a lot more patience than me ... LOL Thanks for watching !

Dear friend , there are no many words to say about it. Because these BMW machines are undoubtedly excellent bikes. I use to have one, first the 2018 GS 1200 R and after the 2020 model with the new engine, the 1250 cc. They were both very complete motorcycles. As I understood that I only would rarely go out riding on off road trails, last year I trade the GS 1250 R for the new RT and I’m just fulfilled. Very happy with it, I truly recommend (and the wife is super happy, about the extra comfort of the ride) Thanks for the GSA video. That’s a great bike ✌️✌️

Thanks Brito, well yes my wife is very happy with the comfort of the GS, it's way better for her than the Rocket, so time will tell, but for now very happy with both bikes ... and thanks for watching

I think you did great. You let the original owner break the bike in, add thousands of dollars of accessories, AND take the depreciation hit! I’ve also got the Anakee Adventuere tires on my 22 GSA, and they are one of the loudest motorcycle tires I’ve ever ridden on besides my old TKC 80s, and that’s really saying something. The Anakee Adventures almost howl.

Yes I guess I was lucky and just in the right place at the right time., it’s proved to be a great purchase. Since doing the video the bikes now done another 12,000km or so, so it’s done around 16,000 now, I’ve got one more little 1,000km trip next weekend and then the Anakee’s will be coming off and Road 6 GT’s going on. Can’t wait to experience the difference. Thanks for watching 👍👍👍

Great review, I feel the same way when you describe how the GS handles compared to middle weight naked bike. I'm always looking to add another bike, but the GS does everything so well... do I really need another bike. Anyway, enjoy the new ride.

Noise? I use custom made earplugs- EarMolds - $85 AUD. Reduces the noise of everything- tyre and wind noise doesn’t bother me anymore!

Yes I now have some custom made plugs, but since making this vid I’ve also changed the tires for P6’s and noise is now gone ! Thanks for watching.

Hi, came across this video tonight, brilliant, have now subscribed, I passed my test in sept 2021 so a newbie.. 1st bike was an 850 GS Adventure, found it a bit lacking for my needs.. 🤔🤔😂😂 so went up to the 1250 Adventure TE Rallye love it, but yes the road noise at the front end, I've changed the tyres to Michelin road 6's a little better but not as quiet as the 850.. Also notice a little vibration in the foot pegs which i never had before... Still, not really any complaints, wished I'd had a stack of old bangers beforehand, I might have a better comparison then..😂

Hi Ian, thanks for your comments and ‘welcome aboard’. I can’t say that I’ve noticed much of a vibe through my pegs, but the whole bike is quite a course ride I guess. Yes, I think your problem might be that you’ve jumped right into the “good stuff” LOL, but good on ye for doing so. I’m certainly enjoying my 1250 so let’s hope we both continue to do so. Thanks for watching & the sub 👍👍👍

Wunderlich make a cockpit cover that fills the hole.

Hi Jo Ka, I wasn't aware of that, but I've had a look and you're right, they do ! I've managed to find a few comments from people who've fitted it and they've said it reduces the wind through the tunnel, but nobody's actually mentioned if it makes much difference to the tyre/road noise, have you had any experience of this cover (or know anyone that has) ??? I''d be really interested to know if it reduces the noise much.

I love that Puig screen. Are you looking through it or over the top of it?
@Carlshandlebarsandholidays
@Carlshandlebarsandholidays Год назад
Hi, most of the time it’s in the lowest position, in which case I’m looking over it, but even then it keeps the wind/flies etc from hitting your helmet. At some points on longer/colder/wetter trips I’ll raise it, in which case I’m then looking through it, which isn’t too bad either, it is a great screen.

It looks like a wonderful bike. The only thing I see that would be a bit of concern to me is the lack of storage in the fairing. It flares out at the tank and seems like it misses the opportunity for some pockets or boxes where you could store things like gloves or maybe a radio or whatever. I can imagine what you say about that tunnel up from the front tire blowing up at you. The windscreen looks great. The asymmetrical frame on the back looks a bit wonky as you say but function is more important than looks in my book and I guess it does the job. I have to say I still lean to the Rocket but its such a huge bike and difficult to deal with if you lay it down and have to pick the darned thing up and seems to limit you in where you could take it. Your Beemer looks very good for handling and is just a more manageable size to push around and able to go more places. Thank you for your review and congratulations on your great purchase.

Hi Pipersall, thanks for you comments, there is a small compartment just in front of the fuel filler, but it's only big enough for you keys, earplugs, bits n bobs like that. I think BMW are working on the assumption that it's best to fill that area with fuel tank, getting 30L up there gives a range of 600+ km which on this type of bike (& in Western Australia) is certainly a good thing, (I guess you're supposed to put all your stuff in the panniers & top box ... LOL). The noise from the front tyre/road is really my only frustration, but to be honest I've gone a few 100 km's since filming this and it's starting to sound "normal" to me now, so no real problem. Yes BMW are definitely geared towards practicality rather than cosmetics, but agin, I guess that's what this bike is all about. There's certainly positives and negatives to both bikes for sure and I'm very lucky to be able to have both. Thanks for watching ... Take Care & Ride Safe !!!

@Carlshandlebarsandholidays
@Carlshandlebarsandholidays Год назад
Yes I'm REALLY enjoying mine too, I've a 2,500km tour starting next next week and following that I think my Annakee's will be coming off, in favour of a pair of Road 6's which should be MUCH quieter. (Thanks for watching and hopefully you've subscribed, as it's FREE and it greatly helps the channel grow).
