The ZR2 is the best Colorado because of the DSSV Shocks, it’s a way better ride quality over the regular Colorado. And the Diesel Engine is still fun to drive. I’ve owned both the 3.6L and the Baby Max and once the Diesel get going it will keep up to the 3.6 and I love the low end torque that the Diesel has, great review btw!
The thing is that the sport pick ups from ford are good at performance and not much else but the Chevy pick ups are usually pretty good all around and aren’t cheaply made
The ZR2 is bar none the best midsize truck out there, good balance of styling and even better capabilities. I would like to see more decals or sportier styling inside though for this trim. People can complain about GM’s interior all they want, but they are simple to use and ergonomic - everything is there where you need it. If you want large computer screens, it’s simply not for sure. I wouldn’t mind some more soft touch materials, that’s about it.
@@fsas190 Not really, but even a ZR2 badge on the passenger side dash or a small one on the steering wheel. I like what Ram has done with embroidering the trim level on the headrests ... Give me something that indicates I'm in the top level trim. The interior of ZR2 is no different than an LT as it stands.
One thing about your comment about the torque is that the V6 is actually faster than the diesel. Even though the diesel has more torque, the V6 has more gears. Overall, the 0-60 in the V6 is a couple seconds quicker than the diesel.
Yup you can get a good deal brand new midnight edition diesel with the LED light bar for 37k And a 10 year 100000 mile Complete full coverage warranty and service brakes oil even tire paint and interior repair
I drive my zr2 in Brooklyn NY. No problems and getting 19mpg in the 3.5 gasoline. On the cheap plastic. The paint rubs off easily. The sliver on driver side door is gone. My knee took off the paint. I have other paint that came off.
Lots of misinfo. The DSSV ZR2 and the internal Bypass shocks of the raptor are not the same things. Also, Price is not half, the price of the Raptor is more like 10-15k more. depending on options.
Considering a small truck for my next car to tow my car is this reasonable? Should I only be considering Deisel versions - I"m talking towing my car 1800 miles. Any opinions???
The ZR2 only tows 5000 lbs whether you have diesel or gas engine. I have had the 2018 Z71 Colorado for over a year now and it’s been a great truck all around. Tows 7500 lbs.
so when does ford come out with something comparable??!!! this is practically half the size of the raptor. what we need is a modern ford ranger in raptor spec. the new ranger looks wimpy
We have ranger raptors in Australia. They're pretty cool, I think the mid size truck market in the US might just not be big enough at the moment for them to justify it.
We just took our Colorado ZR2s around Tahquomenon Falls in Michigan's UP. It was epic, and our ZR2s are all heavily modified. Check out the builds and great times here! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rAu0Pl859MQ.html
I’m not watching this video but thought it was important to say I just bought my new ‘19 SuperCab Raptor for $51k so your video title is COMPLETELY inaccurate and misleading. Have a great day!
How is it misleading? He said it’s $50k Canadian spec’d out. A Raptor starts at $75k cad. Maybe you should have watched the whole video... going to assume you got your Raptor for $51k USD, they aren’t discounting them in Canada.
@@solidhamster it is actually made in a GM factory. But GM still has the license to the 2.8 which was made by VM Motori, who also makes the EcoDiesel for Ram
@@kelsenjames7154 VM is owned by fiat. And being the same company that makes the ecodiesel, I have no faith in it at all. The ecodiesel is the biggest pile of junk ever. I have not met a single chrysler tech that likes that engine.
@@2011buddylee depends on the dealer, but their not that bad, and if your broke ass still can't afford one you can buy used, if not you probably don't need one lol and that's the point, no one needs one, yet they sell lots at their "unaffordable" prices.
