I finally made an appt with you good doctor. It is coming up on June 8th. at 3:30 I pray you can fix me. Nobody else has been able to. I have confidence in you though. Thank you for taking me as a new patient. I now have hope.
Dr. Mcmullen - can you make a video on thyroid disorders and how it causes depression and anxiety and your approach on these type of people? You mention TSH a lot and t3, so I figured it would be a good one!!
I have been watching all of your videos. You are SO knowledgeable. I've been pretty treatment resistant to SSRIS. I've probably tried about 20 different meds from an antipsychotics to SSRIs to SNRIs to a mood stabilizer. I'm on wellbutrin, lexapro, lamictal and buspirone. I have pretty bad GAD and my mind races constantly. Also have pretty bad recurring depression. Are you taking new patients? 8 would drive an hour and a half from CT just to see you.
@@lindseysreptiles hi lindsey. I was exactly in the same boat as you i tried a lot of different antidepressants, mood stablizers, antipsychotics and stimulants to treat my resistant depression but nothing worked. Finely i tried maoi ( nardil) and it worked however, I still need an additional medication to achieve full remission. Trust me maoi are far far more effective than everything out there,so i highly recommend you to try one of maoi. But keep the following in your mind. First if you have anxiety along with depression it is better to use (nardil) as your maoi, but if you have depression without much anxiety and you have low motivation and fatigue it is better to use (parnate) as your maoi.
couln't you combine all of these supplements into one mega-pill, and bring it out as a new antidepressant withoutt any sideffects antidepressant will typically have?
@@healthyone100 I am sorry that you are feeling bad. Then my advice for you is to go to talk to a doctor and take the proper medication. Plus get psychotherapy. Be well
well, since depression is an actual illness, i believe sometimes this could not be the only answer to curing depression. if your relative had an extremely high fever, you would, i assume, pray for them and enourage them to do so as well. however, in the case of your relative, you would probably still want them to get some medication that would lower the fever. so whilst personally don't believe in God and the devil, i think maybe an approach of both methods (medical and spiritual) could be a more effective method of curing depression. i'd be interested to know what you think of this?
