I'll be getting a Redeye wide body, Octane red, red seat belts, black seats with the newer spoiler and upgraded soundsystem. Can't wait, I have been wanting a hellcat since 2015. I sure am glad I waited!!
07:06 - the burnout "serves to heat up the tires, but also to remove debris." Yeah. That's why I do burnouts. It's a completely rational and mature thing that I do to remove debris from my tires. Yeah, that's the ticket. :-D
HourlongCobra52 Ya id love one but having one with a lead foot like me is not a good thing, another review has made mention on the track it can empty the tank in 11 minutes...so just dont drive cross country with it 😂😂😂😂
Just for fun dodge needs to do a track focused version of the challenger. Strip all the fat out of the car. Like all of it. Make it a bare bones track monster. No leather, extra seats, heavy plastic, sound deadening, ac delete, etc. just make it really raw.
I love how in you reviews, you are unique by not giving a review of, "What *I* think of" (insert vehicle here), but simply what the vehicle is. Like you're giving the first press release itself. It's so professional and clean.
The Defenestrator - True, some other reviewer mentioned a couple times how he didn’t care for the dash design, even counted that against the car. A value of course which is completely subjective.
@@saabkyle04 what ever happen to your old luminas that you video at your dad's car dealership. The 1996 Chevy lumina and 1999 Chevy lumina did he ever sell those cars. Whatever happen to that old 1987 jeep grand wagooner.
CamaroAmx i believe the Hellcat was being heavily discounted so probably the same out the door price. I know around here they where $8-10k off sticker around late fall.
Demon owners *would* be pissed, regardless that it’s a limited production, dedicated drag car and the Redeye isn’t. Because they all thought they had a unicorn that would only appreciate in value and now they don’t. But they were foolish if they thought Dodge would create essentially a new engine for the Demon, and not use it in a regular production model.
Chrysler will make it if they see demand. Like them or hate them they been keeping America muscle car wars true to its roots unlike Ford that decides everyone wants an tiny size ecoboost engine in all theyre flagship lineup. No thank you Ford.
Dodge is doing a good job of neglecting the Charger Hellcat where it counts at this point. No wide body as yet - which means it’s still under-tired, and reportedly not even the 10 horsepower boost for 2019, despite the new grille inlets. The Charger is the better car dynamically - less drag, better balance, higher top speed at that. And accounted for about 39% of Hellcat sales in 2017, and about 1/3 more Chargers than Challengers overall. So Dodge has every reason not to brush off the Charger. First world problems, but it’s reason to be pissed off.
Demiurge Obzen Because they did and they didn’t. All Hellcat models MY’s 15-18 had standard features like leather seats, Harmon Kardon, Driver convenience pkg, etc and they removed all that. Now you have to get it extra. Plus the Destination fee went up for 2019.
Anyone that gets a wide body. Go out and get those wide body flares wrapped with the clear stone guard ASAP. The paint on the back flares take a huge beating. No too expensive to do and you will thank me later. Next spring I’m getting the front done also.
Excellent and professional review. Road course shots show responsible driving under supervision vs others who drive down hills extremely fast with passengers.
Wow it looks so damn good ! 👍 When these cars first returned to production I thought they were so ugly, but they have come a long way, simply Beast looking now.
You really nail it with the camera work on your video's. All the others are just counting cupholders and touching plastic. You show the car from so many angles and even the bottom, that is fantastic. I would like to know ground clearance as standard with every car please :-) with a standing side shot to get a view of it. In my opinion a Challanger looks nice with a bit more ground clearance :-)
Are they going to release a special edition called the pink eye? Haha. I think the car would look better if they painted the lower portions of the side skirt and rear bumper.
Has anyone ever provide a full video review of the functionalities. For example, audio, navigation, engine, steering (driving in straight-line), body inspection, memory settings, wipers, and etc. I have completed some research, and I have never seen so many SRT for resale (Whether JEEP or Dodge). I did made some phone calls to sellers, and did get some feedbacks regarding functionality issues. Let me know what you think. From what I understand, these are all BAILOUT vehicles. Safety is a concern.
I tried so hard to like these. And the handling was so bad, it felt like a 90s lincoln town car. Body roll was disgusting. Its not evident at less than 20mph itll have you think its got amazing shocks. Its only when you hit above 20mph that the car starts to swim in its lane.
Challenger Charger they all look the same. Pig in a blanket. Plastic blanket. Shelby was already doing this long before with the Supersnake. Better looking too. My ex wife appeared to look nice too until she took her clothes off.
I would paint the Dodge Challenger Hellcat a navy blue color with a white star on the hood, right, and left side of the door. It would be pretty similar to the F6F-5 Hellcat from the Pacific Front in WW2.
It's just insane that you could get a car this cool and this comfortable that can drive over 200 mph and is in the $70k range. I would totally buy this if I had the money. What car competes with this in all these categories?
I was in Carlisle, PA when Chrysler officially announced the Redeye model. It made me chuckle a bit as the Chrysler exec announced it because it's a name I always used for the ole back-door poop-shoot!
I understand the Demon being automatic trans only but wish the Redeye would come with an optional manual. It must be due to the trans and clutch needing to be beefed up to reliably handle the added power for the entirety of its warranty which would of cost too much given the take rate on manuals especially since you can abuse a manual a lot easier then an electronically controlled automatic. Guess us manual lovers gotta get a Hellcat wide body and mod it with a 4.5L Whipple.
THOSE GUYS AT FORD ARE GOING TOO BE PISSED THEY THOUGHT THIS YEAR WAS GOING TO BE THE YEAR FOR THE NEW MUSTANG SO CALLED DEMON KILLER AND THEY WERE GOING TO BEAT THE DODGE DEMON AND THEN DODGE CAME BACK WITH THE DODGE CHALLENGER SRT HELLCAT REDEYE LOVING IT. WELL FORD BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD
