Most dealerships will remove them for you if you want. However - They recommended I drive it for a while before deciding, because they are expensive to put back on. They grew on me. What really finally sold me on keeping them was seeing an almost idential truck without them - the standard F150 in that color with no stickers is extremely plain looking, its just another truck. I get compliments on my truck everywhere I go, because it is eye catching.

I thought the pro trailer back assist actually reversed the trailer while it's hooked up to your truck, not reverse the truck so you can actually hook up the trailer.

I think it just helps guide the trailer once connected to the truck.

It controls the steering wheel for you, same as the parallel park assist. So you just use the knob to control which way you want trailer to go.

Its really a gimic, I never use mine. You have to attach a decal on the tongue of the trailer at a set distance, calibrate it, and switch calibrations for each trailer you use. I cant use it on my camper due to the shape of the tongue, but I set it up on my buddy's trailer and after the "thats neat" wore off, it wasnt much better than just doing it yourself.

Platinum is more (MSRP over 70 grand), and with a platinum you get horrendously ugly blue seats as your only interior option (unless that has changed in the new models). My dealer (after negotiation) knocked over 10k off the price, and threw in maintenance, making it a no-brainer. This truck has every single option available on the Platnum, except the massaging seats (and rear seat belt airbags, which cause the rear seat belts to be uncomfortable and look bad).
