In my opinion one of the best sporty hatchbacks out there. My Mom bought one in 2016 fully loaded for around 16.000€ in here in germany. It is tuned to 220 hp and has a Miltek sports exhaust which sounds very nice. It has a very nice handling on curvey roads and still its very compact for city driving. I'm currently at summer vacation in the netherlands and averaged around 6 l/100 km even with heavy traffic. So if you want a sporty compact car for daily driving, this is a very good choice 👍🏻

Exactly why I got mine, 12k USD, 54k miles, I average between 28 and 33 mpg and if I'm trying can get into the high 30's. With an intake and intercooler on a tune it's quick, with e30 it is a riot, 1st and 2nd become burnout gears then when it hooks its legitimately surprising.

One of the best hot hatches ever made. You can run 15 inch wheels on them which gives them a nice ride and lightens up the responses nicely. I wish the second gen of it came here to the US, I would have gotten one in a heartbeat as it nicely improved upon the original.

Totally, Ford went all-out and pretty much made a Honda hatch but better. Although I've never been much of a fan of sound of the Ecoboost 4 cylinder engines, there is no denying they're very capable tuning platforms.

Fiesta ST is one of the best bang for the buck cars on this planet! Missed my '16 FiST while watching this video. My only gripe on the ST was the rev hang when up-shifting, but I guess you get used to it after a while, shrug. Definitely snagging some of your new stickers!

You can also have that removed via a tune, along with the fuel cut on braking. It makes a world of difference to be able to trailbrake and not have the clunky shifts

I actually did this back in 2019 with my 2015. It overheated near the top, and I had to get out let it sit. I ended up getting altitude sickness. Lucky a nurse was staying at the bnb where I was at who helped me with it.

4:43 Yep, engine braking is your friend. When we were driving up the side of the smokeys via the highways with a 3/4ton 12v Dodge and a 28ft camper, my dad was up/downshifting... time it wrong and you lugged up and got passed by the rigs. Even when we were in Oregon driving to St Helens/ Mt Hood, rental Trail Blazer... lever down in 2nd or 3rd. I'd hate to drive a CVT or an Auto that has no idea what gear to be in because the driver didn't manually lock it in to 3rd or 2nd.

I would never watch the Pikes Peak Hillclimb in person. 10-11 thousand feet for an extended time with asthma is a bad idea. But I will happily watch it on my TV or laptop because The Hillclimb is bonkers fun.

I did the drive in a Mazada CX-30 rental (great car BTW). No issues on the climb. On the downhill I used the tiptronic shift lever to hold the gear and quick stabs of the brakes when necessary. No issues at the brake checkpoint, they said I was way under the threshold. Never had a Fiesta, but I used to own a Focus ST which would have been great for Pikes Peak. I drove it a lot in the mountains of Alaska.

I hate those people that don’t know how to drive the mountains which took out 2015 Ford focus turbo ST in 2020 up no problem going up that thing the only problem was when you’re going down using the gears no problem with the people in front of you using your brakes and stopping and stopping forcing you to push in the clutch set a time make you pop the clutch. We go to Colorado every other year take the manual transmission car all the time that’s all we all is manual transmission cars and SUVs and trucks. I’m not on automatic

Damn, if your out in this area again I would go Old Stage road from Springs to Cripple Creek then go down Shelf Road or Phantom canyon road to Canon City. Dirt roads that around Pikes Peak and are very scenic and more fun.

When I was there, they wouldnt let us drive up to the summit. Got hypoxia and had to leave pretty quickly, but man it was so cool to check this off my bucket list.

You'd have to climb up to about 19,300 ft above sea level to get the air to be exactly half as dense as at sea level. At 14,000 ft, you're still working with about 60% the air density of sea level. Which is enough to notice, but not enough to be worried about.

@@thearousedeunuch to be honest you can do similar results in every generic 1.5 turbocharged engine(i got similar figures in Golf VIII with 1.5 TSI) and actually have decent performance and lower rpm/less noise on highway. I'm not saying current turbocharged, small engines, vastly popular in Europe are perfect, but I'm astounded people are still buying such archaic engines as 1.0 N/A engines. The only field N/a can outdone turbo ones is reliability as 1.0 and 1.5 Ecoboost are infamous for their failures.

@@JeremiBulakowski Lower rpm has to do with gearing, not the engine itself. I specifically didn't want a turbo for a variety of reasons, which is why I went with the 1.0 N/A. Also, I don't need a lot of power; I find momentum driving to be more fun, with the added bonus of getting me in less trouble with the officers of the law.
