I also own a 2019. I have all the options, (sunroof, ventilated seats) except for the block heater. Thanks for your review. I looked at a Chevy Volt, but it was only a 4 seater. I am very pleased with my Energi. Yes, small trunk. It fits a set of golf clubs, and I am retired, so family has flown the coop years ago. I took a trip from Boise to Sacramento. 63 mpg. 9000 foot elevation change. I recommend this car.

My son just bought the exact same car in the same color. His has a sunroof, though. He paid $22,500 for a one owner car with 42,000 miles. Sadly, he lives in an apartment, where he can’t plug it in overnight. In the future, he will look for a place with a garage where he can charge it. Nice thing about buying a one-owner used plug in hybrid car is that there is a 99% chance that this car was always garaged and driven smoothly. He came from a 2013 Fusion Hybrid that was totaled in a nasty T-Bone crash. Side curtain airbags deployed and he survived unscathed. He went with the Fusion again because he really liked the way it looked and drove and the comfort, quality and safety features are excellent. In 7 years and 70,000 miles, his car basically cost very little to run and was 100% reliable. The Energi gets about twice the mileage and also encourage him to drive smoothly and economically . Great for insurance and good for not getting speeding tickets…. These cars are well worth the money and they can be had much cheaper if you buy a higher mileage example. The Energi comes with an 8 year (100,000 mile?) transferable Hybrid power train warranty. People are afraid of buying a used hybrid because of potential high repair costs, but I think it’s well worth the risk. Ford’s hybrid power train is tries and true. The 2019 and 2020 models have a higher capacity battery which will travel about 6 miles further on battery (26 miles vs 20). Yup, the trunk sucks, but my son is single and he can make it work. Lamborghinis have tiny trunks too, yet people still buy them…

Still own it and it is a great car . We also use it for a tow vehicle for the RV and could not be happier with our little blue ford

Mines a 2019 Titanium Energi with sunroof and a dark gray metallic color. Came loaded with every option. It's truly been a great car. Well-made solid build quality. Great mileage for a heavy sedan. The safety features are excellent.

Thanks for the video, parts of it were impossible to hear. A couple of things - your 2019 Titanium does have fold down rear seats with about 4-6inches of pass through space. I know this is somewhat useless, but it is there. Window tint was definitely aftermarket. I love my 2018 Energi as well. I knew what I was getting into with the trunk when I got it. I use a roof container for long haul trips. For getting around town, I am usually on Electric power and a tank of gas can last me over 30 days. It's a great car.

Roof container is not a bad idea. Gas lasts forever . Sometimes I just burn the gas out so I can fill it with “fresh fuel” may not need to do that but don’t want it to go stale lol

I recently bought a 2019 energi. Mine DOES have the sunroof. It is an amazing car, except like you said, very little trunk space, but I can live with that. That little gas nozzle in the trunk is used for if you need to put gas in using a gas can, because the gas can nozzle can damage the capless gas system. Oh other downfall, no spare tire. Other than that this car is fun to drive and amazing. You forgot to mention, oil change only once a year!

Limited oil changes are indeed a plus. Last one I got was like 80 bucks so every bit helps !

Good and honest assessment. At least passenger side rear seat will lie down to carry longer items if needed. Yes the rear trunk is a disappointment and not able to carry a 5th wheel/tyre. If using the car on short trips of less than 22 miles round trip you can plug in on 110 volts at home and basically visit the gar station once a year. The interiro and all the saftery features are excellent. Yes I have other great cars like a few Lexus 350s but this is better. Highway cruising is enjoyable.

Are you keeping it with the recall/buy back option from Ford?
@iracohen3864
@iracohen3864 7 месяцев назад
Good evaluation btw. It hs its limitations but these later year second gen Fusion hybrids are very reliable and ride way better than a lot of the competition. Also, price wise not too bad.

Daughter 👧 drives it now and it continues to be a reliable vehicle.

Are you still charging even with the recall? I see Ford has made buyback as an option now or wait until 2025 for new battery pack.

I hear that battery replacements on any of these plug ins can get pricey. Glad it happened under warranty!

how is the car holding? Im looking for a used one, and I wanna know if it is reliable after 100k miles.
@TheHappyHootie
@TheHappyHootie Год назад
Holding well. Honestly it’s a good “car” nothing extra special… but it does what it is intended to do well. Comfortable and reliable. Granted… we have only hit about 50,000 miles so unsure of the 100,000 mark but if it was taken care of and maintained (highway miles) then it should be fine I would think. They do have mechanics 🧰 that would check it over for a small fee. May be worth it regardless

What is the difference between the two besides the plug?
@Qrail
@Qrail 27 дней назад
@@VJTrucking we had the hybrids at work, the only difference is the size and range of the battery in the Energi. The hybrid gives you good economy, but the plug in allows you to just run on electric. Or you could use the hybrid, or battery hold, and run it on gasoline.

We got ours from an off road store that sold lift kits for trucks . I just called them and they said they do this as well.

Maybe check your tailpipe for hidden bananas. I merge uphill into 80-85mph traffic 5 days a week in mine.

See one by me for $22k ask, 35k miles.. Private party. Worth checking out?
@TheHappyHootie
@TheHappyHootie Год назад
You can check out private party values on kbb.com. (Kelley Blue Book) May be a good place to start. Original warranty was 3 year 36k so it would be out of warranty but the battery had a longer warranty. May want to check the length of battery warranty.
