thats like saying ...uh, I love Bananas, I love pizza and roast beef I can't to without. Wait, let's mix em all together, it will be delicious! No it won't be. Luckily in this case the ingredients know better than the wannabe cook - so it will never happen!
@@icsbay7932 Roast beef can only be Harry. If Tiff is the pizza, that leaves the banana to Chris? Look, Chris Harris is the new Tiff Needell, it's obvious Chris worships Tiff like only a kid can idolize the hero of his childhood, they would have great chemistry working together. And Harry is everybody's best friend. Seeing those three working together would make the best television of the last thirty years, or since Clarkson decided he would rather be an asshole than journalist.
Throw Marino and maybe his brother, Dario in too, as they are complete petrolheads. Would be a great show, for petrolheads...anyone who used to enjoy the old Evo magazine...in fact, include Dickie, Jethro, & Andrew Frankel too...
Thank you for vlogging this Harry. This was the most enjoyable video I’ve watched in years on RU-vid. Gives us just a glimpse into being you. Fantastic thanks again
HArry, I had tears in my eyes. Such amazing cars, you have such knowledge and knowing so many great people. And your will to show us everything. Thank you Harry! And yes, Tiff mad as ever! :)
After a frustating day in the office...back home....switch on TV and here´s a new video on my favourite channel. Life is good. Thanks Harry and Charlie ! Best regards from Germany !
Your knowledge of the history of each individual car is great to hear. So good to listen to someone who knows their stuff. A pleasure to watch and learn as always. Thank you Harry.
Actually I like Harry as a presenter much better than Tiff. I mean Tiffs nice and all - but he always interrupts everybody - and seldom comes down off his high horse. Harry rides horses a little more low-key - which is actually better - if you know what i mean ;) Cheers good mate ~
The Porsche 917 surely must be the most iconic race car of all time, certainly the Gulf liveried car is the most beautiful, thanks for this brilliant video Harry, absolutely amazing to see these cars!
Great review Harry an education for sure, as for Tiff mad as a box of frogs but wrote the book on car control makes it look like a Sunday drive every time !
Thanks Harry, for showing us around all those beautiful classic sports race cars, brings back a few fond memories from the 1960s,at Croft, Mallory,Snetterton,Oulton park,Donnington, wonderful thanks once again👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love those old Porsche race coupes. I love how England tries to maintain a connection to the past. With car design, saville row. Etc. I stayed at Piccadilly Circus and enjoyed the non chain stores a great deal. Chain stores are like corporate communism. Central control, lack of individuality. Wealth isn’t spread out among numerous small business owners. Lack of innovation. So there you have my love for England, hate for chain stores and love for Harry’s garage.
And Dickie Meaden When Harry started Evo with Richard and John Barker it was a fantastic time for the motoring published print. Will always be thankful for all 3 and the others involved. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity as Performance Cars went down the pan, talented people once again brought back a new "Fast Lane" type magazine and added some intellect to what was at the time ruled by Max Power magazine and similar.
Gorgeousness, ferocity and a casual history lesson with Harry... time well spent! Chris mentioned you brought the xj-c12... I must now go to Harry's garage and re-watch that episode....that sound!! The "outro" to that episode is....a thrill...gives me pleasant chills! Thank you Harry 😄 more please...🇨🇦
Thanks very much Harry! So great to have you take the time to show us around and give pointers. You are a true petrol head's petrol head, many thanks! Visiting with my son and father next year!
Such a fabulous array of classic machines and the best automotive presenter on RU-vid today - seeing the comradery with Dickie and Chris was a bonus, i miss the classic EVO days!
That DB3S - what a piece of Aston history - it's quite obviously absorbed evolution in AM's 59' success in the DBR1. Just gorgeous cars the C's and D's with Sayers' liquidity. Golden era of Sports racing.
A great view into an area few of us get a chance to see. I love how every time you go somewhere someone knows you. And yes. Perhaps a few non-Italian cars in the garage would bring a bit more flavour. :-)
Jesus Harry!! you know everyone, I grew up watching Tiff on 5th gear, ive recently enjoyed watching Chris Harris but didnt realize he was part of the Evo crew. Wish i could have been there, felt like i was at home watching this video, well i was, but with all my icons of the car journalism world basically all in one place. Now if that guy Jeremy Clarkson could join, it would be my perfect dream vacation just to walk around that wonderful place with you. But i just dont know how you guys all feel about him anymore. Of course he was a icon i looked up to as a child just like you, but after the falling out with the BBC, its a puzzle to see what his status is amongst the car community.
Thanks Harry, I have been lucky to work at Goodwood Revival and FoS, also on a couple occasions getting access to the drivers area, its just a great motorsport venue so rich in history and even better when a chap like you can ask and get replies to questions!
Very interesting and entertaining incursion into this fabulous world of historical monster machines. Thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it, Harry. Thanks for sharing it with us.
HARRI YOU KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK,THE PEOPLE YOU KNOW ARE AMAZING AND GREAT AMOUNT OF BANTER ,LOVED IT SO MUCH DO MORE LIKE THIS AT GOODWOOD THANK YOU KINDLY
Yes, but i suppose that he's torn, you want to show the star whilst at the same time wanting the topic at hand, in shot. I think he found the right balance most of the time. I'm just pleased that these nice people went out and shot this super material. I was buzzing with a smile all the way through, the cars were lush, the people were all super keen for the start of the season, it was a nice day and the explanational patter was on point. Tiff was buzzing too it seemed, heh, oh dear. We'll have to watch that race of his now.
There were two reasons really. We didn’t know how effective the microphone was going to be as it was the first time using it and we thought we’d shoot more B-Roll but just ran out of time
Fantastic, thanks for replying. I was laughing when Harry was holding the mic to the person that he was interviewing and the audio was coming through louder from the direction that H was speaking from which was the side of the mic, rather than the face of chap that he was pointing the mic in the direction of. Odd.
@@harrysgarage I love your approach to educating individuals like myself with your knowledge of cars. I have learnt so much in the past from your knowledge. I would love to ask your advice on a subject close to my heart. Sadly I don't subscribe to any social media other than the Y tube family. Would be great if you could reply to my email address so I could ask your advice. gildersleve183@btinternet.com
Great vid Harry - I was stood behind the fence watching you film on the Sunday am. Did exactly the same tour as you - first stop the F1 then straight to the paddock to see the 917s being fettled. Neither of the 917/30s liked the early spring air - they had all the plugs out warming them up with hair driers!
Fantastic video Harry, I enjoyed this one a lot. A father and son put together 35 minutes of highly entertaining content yet TV companies with massive budgets produce rubbish! A pat on the back to both of you!
Has anyone asked Tiff if he is on any Medication. The Guys nuts. Great though went round Croft sitting next to him in a Ford Mondeo spending most of the time going sideways.
I had to chuckle when I read your post. Old motorcyclist here and I was looking at a few Belstaff jackets floating around the crowd. In the late 70's, early 80's that was what we all wanted. It's funny what you focus on when you get a few years on the chassis........
