There is so much storage. The only other that kind of fits this layout is the Passport 216rd but this one beats it for storage hands down.

Bigcal44 we paid 21,500. They just reduced it from 23,500. Good timing

Sauceboss its a murphy bed that folds up and out of the way. You can also use the dinnete at the rear for a larger bed and never use the murphy bed if you choose.

I don't want to leave that door open either when hooked up to city water.

If you had a vehicle in mind you can verify what the hauling capacities are by referring to the year of the guide for the year of the vehicle. George Reed, thanks for you question. The rear dinette sleeping cushion can be stored in various locations when not in use. One of these spots that works really well is tucked up at head board of the main bed when it is not in use, you can have the Murphy bed in the up or down position and its fits in quite nicely. Aurora Nite, thank you for your comments. We agree and so does GDRV. They have upgraded the front bench to a very comfortable roll over sofa. The change has been very popular. We have a different model. You use accent pieces, pillows and such to brighten it up. No problem.

Good morning and thanks for the message! Great question on the bed as we have gone a different direction in the design of this from other manufactures. There is no specific weight rating, but I can tell you that it will not break by sitting at the end. It is a 2” laminated aluminum framed bed base, similar to how our side wall is built. @@josephmontoya4278 In other words, either Billy Dalton doesn't know or Grand Design hasn't put one on, though there is a weight limit, not expecting someone to load it with so much weight that it'll break. Don't they legally have to specify a weight limit, or do they expect everybody to use common sense and not intentionally test it, seeing how much weight they can put on it until it gives way?

Wildhog32, great question! The sturdiness at the end of the bed is excellent. The entire bed platform is laminated with aluminum framing just like the side walls. The flexibility of the Murphy bed in the Imagine XLS is second to none. We hope this helps!!😀

Julio Correa Luna, thanks for your question. Based on the dry weight of the trailer, you would want a bare minimum of 6000 to 6,500 tow capacity. Toyota Tacoma for example in some of the models has a 6500lb tow rating which is good for this type of trailer. We hope this helps!!😀

Wildhog32, if your hoses are hooked up correctly with secure fittings you don’t have any water spillage. Also, any water that potentially may drip should drain through the port hole access. You will need to wipe up any excess water that may spray when unhooking your hose, which is the case for all RV’s with enclosed utility compartments. I hope this helps with your question. billg1527, thank you for the comment. The item you’ve noticed is a finishing product called seam tape. Seam tape matches the wall board panel and simply covers where two wall panels come together. In this case it looks as though the seam tape hasn’t been completely pressed on. In our PDI process at our dealership we would easily catch this and remedy it quickly. Nancy Speelman, thank you for your comments. We’re sorry to hear some of the aspects of this floor plan don’t meet your requirements. If you’re truly in the market for a small RV and haven’t seen this one in person, we would still recommend you take advantage. In most circumstances we’ve found that once we’ve had the opportunity to show off all the features and benefits in the various floor plans available, our customers views and opinions swing more favourable. In addition, we’ve also found that in most trailers at this length, whether the bathroom is at the back or on the side it’s usually right beside the kitchen or close to it in some fashion, hard to completely get away from in small trailers. Currently we don’t feel there is a perfect Murphy bed on the market that checks every box fully. We do however feel that when you consider all the different types and styles of Murphy beds available we come to the conclusion that the GDRV setup is the most functional overall. The key for GDRV in this Design was to provide the most functional 60x80 Residential size Murphy bed on the market while still giving you the industry leading pass through storage they’ve come to be known for. We do understand though that not every RV fits everyone’s needs and wants perfectly. One of the cool parts about the Imagine XLS is that GDRV has bolstered the floor plan offering going into 2019, so there may be a floor plan you would prefer better. Only if you use the bed as a trampoline. The mattress and its sheets cover the corners plus if you happened to hit your knee on it I bet you wouldn’t do it a second time LOL

LMAO you are kidding aren’t you? The salesman told you it was sturdy what more do you want. That frame is stronger than any bed frame you have in your house. No I am not kidding either. The aluminum frame that supports the bed is very strong plus under the bed it has 5/8” plywood laying on top of the aluminum frame.
