My 2019 Home Depot Patio Style Challenge REVEAL is here! I'm so excited to bring you this sponsored final reveal video post. It gives me the opportunity to share my decorating and design ideas for a completely empty space. I've chosen to fill it with Hampton Bay's Laurel Oaks 4-Piece Conversation Set, along with Traeger's Pro 575 Smart Pellet Grill with WIFI technology, as the foundation for this challenge. Many of us have unfurnished spaces that have us wondering where to start. When you choose foundation pieces that match the style and functionality that you love, the rest falls into place. I have 5 simple steps to success! The first step is to choose the foundation pieces and the next step is to bring in greenery. It's always nice to add flowers, trees and containers of grass- especially if you're an urban dweller who doesn't get enough exposure to living plants. They can add softness and texture to a stark and uninviting area. I'm showing you how to add the illusion of height and coziness on your patio with my DIY plant projects, available on my website as a previous post. I'm using trees placed on my patio as the perfect way to add the next step, which is lighting.Let's create atmosphere...Night time can present safety issues and I've found the perfect solutions to creating an inviting evening space. Lanterns, candles, and LED lights can produce the correct amount of light that helps guests navigate around obstacles and bathe them in a flattering glow while keeping the patio appropriately lit. Each choice is easy to to turn on and off, making it convenient as the evening gets darker. What are my accessory choices? This is the most important question that I am asked as a designer. Honestly, without the first three steps in place, it's difficult to create an inviting outdoor space for any guest. I have soft accessories (like pillows and poufs), as well as accessories strictly brought out for entertaining. Each item on my patio is available at The Home Depot AND right on my website by clicking the links OR "Things I Use" in the navigation bar. Everything is chosen to make my guests feel as comfortable as possible. But... you'll have to watch the entire sponsored post to view my style.Does my 2019 Home Depot Patio style challenge inspire you?
