Jake de Jongh even when there going fast they stilll wip and wip and wip ehen they know the horse is going full speed already but I barrel race and yeah when I feel my horse slowing down I do kick and wip but not as often
Keira Cruz I know that lol it was just a comment, my horse goes a lot faster with a wip but my other two buck when I use one. Every horse is different. But at the same time there is no need to keep wiping a horse after it’s shown it can’t go any faster I think it’s better to just wip when felt like the horse is slowing down not because you think wiping the horse after it’s full speed already will make it go fast but that’s my opinion everyone rides different and I respect that
My boyfriend’s longtime friend is Blackfeet. The tribe’s reservation is just north of where I live. His uncle and cousin do relay races. The guy in blue that ended up third, Narscius, is his uncle. I’ve never been a relay race but the videos definitely show the excitement. What an excellent sport!
@@mariracine3360it 100% hurts them. they have thinner skin and more nerve endings them humans. whipping is animal abuse. if it didn't hurt them, it wouldn't have influence over their running.
@@jacksonspencer5686 yeah, but i dont give a fuck if they won because of it or not, i just care that that horse was whipped way too many times [nearly 50 times to much, the right number of whippings is 0
@@jameshorseabuseisnotok3659 I agree, my horse’s health is much more important than winning some race. It’s absolutely disgusting how most of the riders whipped their horses over and over again. Those horses must be in pain.
AMAZING SHOW.... The whip is used for a push tool... do you see ANY welts on any of their horses? PLUS if you want to see abused horses go to a dressage show. They wont show you the cruel ways these horses have been treated to perform, and prance high. How do I know this? I was a trainers assistant, and left the business because I couldnt stand to watch the hidden behind the scenes training. Acid, weights and bungies used on their pasterns, and a finger full of ginger shoved up their anas as they enter the showring... its disgusting
This isnt dressage you are talking about LOL those are saddleseat shows and unfortunately common gaited horse practices. They use acid and weights to get them to do the big lick. Its fucking gross. The biggest problem in dressage is rolkur, but it is very frowned upon. Also there is a ton of evidence coming out that whipping (seen in racing) and kicking the shit out of your horse (or starfishing seen in barrel racing) acctually does nothing to improve your horses speed and it is very painful. Their skin has acctually been proven to much more sensitive than ours, which is why this kind of thing should be discouraged despite what was previously thought. No hate to these guys tho, this is a very cool cultural event - however, these practices need to be addressed.
Yeah... Its like circus... People only see and like the performance but they doesn't care about "training"..... Like... Its not training its torturing! Training is when horse (or other animal) have the will to work with you and listen to you. And yes, that is possible and you don't need any whip or bit. Only your horses trust. ( and with trust comes the will)
I really hate how dressage is frowned at, every discipline has its ups and downs. I personally love my horse to the moon and back and she loves dressage I would never hurt her
