Josef being emotional in winning the IndyCar Championship, shows just how much the championship means to the drivers. Good to see that kind of emotion from the drivers. Congrats to Josef and Team Penske.
@@nolongerusing7430 I would understand that comment on an oval race, but on a laguna seca video, what? Why? There are a lot of differences between nascar and indy. Is like comparing cricket with baseball just cause both use a stick.
@@motoremedy986 ummmm............ No, before the Austrian Grand Prix, the races were, boring, predictable and not entertainment, from Austria, Germany, Belgium, Italy and this one in Singapore was really enjoying, but Hungary was a totally snooze fest, and Silverstone was so so, at least IndyCar it's not predictable which is really good because you don't have a clue what drivers are going to win.
Thanks to the commentary and production team for doing such a fine job this year and the Indycar competitors for an excellent season. Really have enjoyed all of it from the other side of the pond. Roll on 2020.
the only highlight here should be how HERTAS crew got it done today. absolutely badass pit stops and strategy! CH88 is going to be a force in the future!!! marco is the austin dillon of indycar.
Not enough advertising. IMO they're doing a terrible job of getting the word out about all the races going on in the USA. When more people here know about F1, MotoGP, WRC than our own championships, there's a problem.
I have been watching Indy cars and F1 for over 50 years. I have never seen the quality of rookies in one year . Driving like veterans. Great job to all drivers and Indy car . Congrats to Penske and Newgarden.
Laguna Seca is a perfect circuit to end an IndyCar season. WAY better than Sonoma! Too bad that did not happen this year. Oh well, can’t wait for 2021! Also as a HUGE Will Power fanatic, this was the best race I’ve seen that Power lost. It was amazing to see a young Colton Herta battling against the veteran Will Power going at it for a win! Although Power lost, I still get excited about the finish when I watch it or when I think about it! :)
Thanks to all the people that make this championship possible, really enjoyed this season. I'm glad I committed to watching every race live this year, see you next year! Oh and congrats to Newgarden on the title, hope Simon can do it in 2020 :)
I LOVE the designs and liveries of modern day IndyCars... wish F1 cars kept the same classic, sleek shape they had in the 90's. Also wish there were more F1 teams, with more livery and color combinations. For example, each F1 team should have two livery setups for each driver!
Three things on next years wish list, Robert Wickens, Watkins Glen and 200 more horse power. Great season look forward to see them race ovals with the new areo screen too.
In a degraded time when so many other brands are wilfully collapsing themselves to order by command of corporate social-engineers, IndyCar stays true to its fans and its competitive purpose. In doing so, it grows where others fail, and gains a whole new audience of dedicated viewers who want sporting entertainment, not loopy lectures in deviating dogma.
#NTT IndyCar Series Champion !! #JosephNewgarden !! Great race. Glad to see #IndyCar at Weather Tech Raceway Laguna Seca again. Congrats to #ColtonHerta for the win. Looking forward to 2020 :)
looooooool. I would have understand in 2016 or 17. But this year F1 is simply beautiful. Indycar is amazing, but don't compare this to the best motorsport
I honestly thought the season ended weeks ago. Never knew they had more races. These guys have to stop spreading out their races. There is so much other sports going on, just no relevance left with this anymore
I have always liked Marco Andretti and was a huge fan until a few years ago...but he simply has not got any real results in far too many years and I think it is time for him to gracefully retire.
His teammates constantly win races and challenge for championships while he constantly struggles to crack the top 10. I wish his dad did what Foyt did with Quattro years ago and let him go from his team. It’s embarrassing for his family name for people to know he is only in the field bc his daddy owns his car.
Came here to say this. Especially with F2 looking pretty poor lately. Using Erikson as a benchmark, he definitely has potential. A team like alpha would do well to get Colton.
why? Here in Indy he's with a top team, the playing field is level in terms of the cars tech and chassis are concerned. F1 if you aren't groomed to race for Mercedes then what's the point. be in an inferior car though you maybe the better talent? F1 needs to change, it's horrible. Vettel, Hamilton Hamilton Vettel. week week in week out. zzzzzzzzzz
@@Boswd Why what? Why won't he move to a top team? Honestly, that never happens regardless of who you are. Maybe if he joined a works team during a major rule change, he could get picked up by a team that improves a lot with the new regs. But in most cases, even the best drivers don't go to the top teams in their first year. I would say Colton is almost at Lando's level and that says a lot since Lando is seen as a future world champ. They raced together in 2015 and they finished 1st and 3rd in MSA Formula. Also, have you not watched recently? Vettel won his first race in like 2 years this week lol. Ferrari and Red Bull are definitely catching Merc in all aspects of performance. However, its still a 3 horse race, then the midfield, then williams lol.
After many years I came back to follow Indy, and one thing I don't understand and happens every race, why the apparently bias towards Rossi, he's always exalted on the transmissions and such... it's juts because he's american?
Nehtiyalyr - Nope. Nothing to do with being American. Rossi has established himself as both consistent and thrilling to watch -- a rare combination of strengths. The guy's got a "brilliant moves" highlight reel about a mile long. 🙌
He consistently beats his teammates. He has obvious talent and is fun to watch. But I agree that he seems to get pushed as a storyline too much. But there are many other Americans, heck like the champion Newgarden, so I don't think it is just nationalism.
Chris Mndz spec car series with no power steering or driver aids and tracks that punish drivers with grass and gravel, so skill is properly shown. Put Josef in a Ferrari or Mercedes and watch magic happen
@@marinerchris Chris , fella, a question, it is Sebastian Grosjean the master of the road racing as the same of his partner the other "talented" and extraordinary Kevin Magnunsen, in which position is Haas in this moment in the constructors championship? Well if you have that argument where all the formula one drivers are extraordinary and superior to the others , think twice because in the Pinnacle there is mediocrity too specially when has been through almost a decade and few of those drivers don't show absolutely nothing.
@@marinerchris Wrong. Montoya was a champion on his rookie season in CART, then the next year won the indy 500, then he went to F1 and he was amazing, he could have been as successful as he was in CART if he had better luck, he was close to win the championship in 2003. My only concern would be the team that could hire Josef, because we saw alonso at McLaren and those weren't good times...
@@eliteflite8395 Indycar grid is not as good as F1 one please ... Indycar is slower than F1 and easier to drive (in road track). If there is no more grass at some track it's because of the number of dead driver in F1... Gravel makes car bumping over it. And you just can't compare F1 great drivers (forget stroll, kvyat and grosjean plz). I m sure you put an Hamilton or a Verstappen vs a Power or a rossi and indycar drivers a 1 second slower. Nothing against Indycar, i love it but F1 is way way more complicate than indycar. Not many driver from indycar that succeed in F1 : Montoya, Villeneuve and ... no more. Yes rossi is good but his opponent aren't that strong ( i m a penske fan and support pagenaud (simply the best indycar driver under the rain and has had a great carreer) and newgarden who is in my opinion the only driver to possibly drive an F1 car at a good pace.) These series are different, but the field level is even more. Kimball, Chilton, Andretti, Sato vs Leclerc, Albon, Sainz, Norris, Verstappen. To finish, these following indycar driver are the few that i really place in my top 100 drivers that didn't succeed in F1 : Dixon (legend) Bourdais (4 in a row, means enough) Pagenaud(Simply need to watch his mounth of may to understand this hero)(also did many other series and great race)
I love these road courses can anyone tell me what the draw behind oval racing is? I am American and i just don't get it..unless your live its the boring AF
