The new Defender has the exact same suspension parts as this Discovery. This means wheel articulation will be shitty due to the short control arms and it will have to rely on electronics to get over bumps. So much for the Defender being an off-road beast.
Thats cause Scotty is a mechanic who fixes cars for a living, newer cars are making his type of profession harder and harder since they are becoming more and more complicated to work on. He and his customers are not the types of people who LR is marketing these new products too. Most people buying these won't have them after 4 or 5 years, so who cares how they hold up.
@@DrivenHard You can still get one nowadays with about 2 years on Land Rover warranty and enjoy this great car at a reasonable price point and not brake the bank maintaining it.
@@dillonh321 defender love the new one, but range rover is a model and not a brand, that's why I asked range rover discovery? Either it is a Land rover discovery or a Land rover range rover
The Land Rover guy is way too conservative, “breaking eggs”…give me a break, the reason I’m watching this video is because I want to see the offroad capability not how easy it can go down a trail with no mud and no rock crawling whatsoever, Land Rover needs to transfer this guy to their office team, he has no business being on an OffRoad course, ever!
