Yes, the 2019 is super legit tho with the safety features! I don’t think that the prior years have these same options. I could be mistaken... I need to do some homework and find out. The one I have right now has the paddle bars and a “L” gear... I use it to downshift when I need an extra boost. In my 2014 I would only drive it in the “S” sport mode and I swear it got better gas mileage than in regular DRIVE. Also the one I have now has the larger wheels I think 20” but let me warn you that I get SIGNIFICANTLY worse gas mileage. And I drive the same as I did in the other Altima which just had the upgraded alloy wheels. I got 28mpg V’s now I get about 20mpg with the larger wheels
We just bought a 2019 Altima SV and I too love this car in any traffic situation especially in stop and go traffic. On interstate, it is the best with the steering assist since most highways are fairly straight and makes driving much more relaxing. I usually leave mine on 2 bars for most driving. I bought a 2020 SL just yesterday and I was a little freaked out when I used the driver assistance and my car just went full Knight Rider on me. I damned love it!!
I just got my Altima SL, bought it only reason being pro pilot assist. The day I got to know about it, I had a feeling it would be an awesome feature and sure enough it is. Now I am addicted to it. Its like a rewarding system when the pro pilot kicks in and takes up the driving on your behalf :) Also the complete stop and hold while in cruise is such an awesome feature. This is such a fun car at an affordable price. Should be the number 1 in its kind.
Generally the only issue with Altimas is their transmissions, which have a history of being very unreliable. Some fail as early as the first service interval (30k). The modern ones in the most recent years are showing lots of promise and hopefully these new CVTs are more reliable than their previous counterparts.
Thanks Kayla, I just drove a similar model from 2021 but I think updated slightly, but the core technology I remember from the Infinity I rented 3 years ago and it's SUPER handy to just control the break and accelerator to keep you comfortable, even at higher speeds with limited traffic at night. All I had to do was steer to stay in the lane. I didn't use the lane assist feature, I guess it's that button on the right side that I missed. Makes driving for 14 hours across borders simple and less exhausting.
I have the 2020 Altima, and I CAN NOT STAND that the car wants to do what IT wants to do, instead of what I want to do. This CAN BE DANGEROUS. One time, my car slammed on the BRAKES, and I was like what the hell was that. I have since, disabled this Driver Assistance, because I feel that I DO NOT NEED my car to DECIDE SOMETHING FOR ME!!! After all, I am a confident driver...
Save your money , car inflation is going through the roof 😳 Just got a Hyundai Sonata SD, absolutely love it .. Only thing it does have is lane departure notification, if someone gets to close to you, or if you absolutely need to get around someone & cut em off cause they won't move their asses over, it will beep .. Already having people trying to race me in the damn thing, it gets up and goes , but I'll wait to build up my credit to get a 5.0 Mustang
I have a 2020 SL and Man I’m surprise that Nissan have this much Tech I don’t think most of the owners of these vehicles realize one hidden feature and it have something to do with the headlights when you make a right or left turn and or A dark road the car realizes that the road is not bright enough It will Enhance Vision on the size of the road but you must have fog light on and have the automatic highbeam assist on in order for this feature to work
@@kaylaharvey3364 Yeah, the headlights automatically adjust depending on how dark or bright is the road you are driving on with the headlights, high beams and fog lights.
The 20”? They def look great, but it’s my beliefs that they wear much faster and GAS mileage is definitely affected! Like by nearly 10mpg! It’s a tough call, are you financing or leasing or paying cash?
Do you still have this car? I have 2020 SR and only if I can get pro pilot on my car that would be great really nice for long drive and stop and go traffic, although traffic is not bad here in Tucson i still want that feature lol
I use this in a 2019 Toyota RAV4 and it’s so nice but isn’t as smooth and when I’m driving. Do you have this problem in your Altima where it applies the brakes too heavily?
I drive the RAV4 also. And yessss-absolutely have gotten straight whiplash from the altima!! Lol the rav4 is a much smoother- overall a slightly better cruise! ;)
Hi Kayla I have a very important question there is this engine light MALFUNCTION,also reduce power engine and I’m freaking out 😢 has anyone have the same problem and if yes is it something to worry about do I need to call the dealer because today’s a holiday and everything is closed just dont know what else to do. thanks everyone
Hi Carmen! I am trying to remember… my Cadillac gave me the same alert about reduced engine power. It was after my vehicle overheated which lead to oil pressure issues. Also I was coming due on an oil change. Def would at least go to auto zone or your local auto parts store and have them read your code to see exactly which code is coming up they will be able to give you additional info and recommendations. However if you’d vehicle is under manufacture warranty just take it to the dealership and they will get you all squared away.
I actually would not trust a self driving car 🙃, I was gonna get one of them , but chose something else. I love getting in & out of traffic, remember 4 car lengths behind someone, depending on conditions. I just don't trust other drivers.. Complete clear driving record for me .. A car like that , now drunks can drive behind the wheel 😅😅😂🤣😅😅😅 & get notification , if they swerve, or go over the lane , or it will break for them.. 😅😅 or dear lord.... I like to be in Complete control, of my car ..
Google Expert hey, so let me tell u I have driven about 4 different 2019 altimas within the past 9 months and EACH ONE WAS DIFFERENT! They all got different gas mileage too! I would say my fav was the fully loaded one with the upgraded alloy wheels: it got great gas mileage and handled so well! I drove another for a short while that was average, this one in the video was just under the fully loaded and i didn’t have it for long so nothing specific I can say about it. Now I had one with bigger (20 inch I believe) wheels on it and the gas mileage was definitely affected by this! (It got about 17-26MPG!!) It had the paddle bars so that was fun but honestly I drove the fully loaded one in “L” and it handled nearly the same and got better overall MPG!! The larger wheels definitely look great tho!! The most recent car I drove had standard non alloy basic wheels and nothing REALLLY too special as far as features, but it sure had a different feel to it. I’m not sure what it was but I often didn’t even realize I was going like 85mph! It def had a little bit of a looser feel I would say tho, but I believe that was the wheels (this car was getting 30.9MPG the last day I had it!!!)
The 2019 has a new and improved CVT that has a feeling of shifting slightly, but most love this new type of trans as opposed to conventional. I do because of how smooth they are since they dont actually shift. It is a continuous pickup. and I get great gas mileage on the road thats 36 or better.
Wrong !!!! Max Vi newer cars have these features, screw them Tesla cars , they put out more emissions cause of the toxic batteries, and when they catch on fire 🔥, it took a little over 5 hrs to put the Tesla, yes was in the volunteer fire dept, loved being on accident calls, but fire in the summer was to much heat for my body to handle.. We also put out a van that caught on fire , that only took 45 min.
