2019 Nissan Frontier - Electronic Tailgate Lock (Pop&Lock) Installation

Installation of Pop&Lock electronic tailgate lock in a 2019 Nissan Frontier. This device allows automatic locking of the tailgate with the key fob. Cost is about $100. The box says it is for 2007-2013 Frontiers, but it works fine for up to 2019 (and I'm guessing for 2020 as well, but don't hold me to that).
Many thanks to @MattVerley for his video on this same subject ( • Nissan Frontier build ... ). My installation is very similar. I tried to show some additional detail in a few areas.

Great video and a lot more detail then the other guy you are giving credit to, but he also did a great job. That connection under the spare tire where you bundled up the excess wire, would have me a little worried of getting wet or corrosion of some kind? Its not Protected in any way from the Elements, I would of either cut the wire shorter and tucked it inside of the rear lift gate? at the least the connection harness of the agitator Would that be possible?

Thanks for watching, and I'm glad you found it useful. With regard to the wire bundle - yes, you are correct. I should have trimmed the excess and used wire loom (or otherwise protected the wire). This was my first project running wires on a vehicle so I made some beginner mistakes, unfortunately. I will go back and re-do it when I find some time. Luckily, I haven't had any issues with it so far. Thanks again for watching and taking the time to comment.

could have bundled up the cable in the b-pillar inside the cab.

Agreed (and thank you). I'm going to re-do it at some point, just need to find some time. This was my first project running wires in a vehicle. I should have not only cut the excess wire but also used wire loom to protect it.
