Thank you this is a great video I’m gonna be putting the stabilizers on my kayak this weekend and I like how you made that separate mount without screwing into them.
Yeah, I visited that site and another Kayak store popped up. I really liked that swivel seat when you want to grab something from the back. Or, face another direction which is very convenient. I have the Vanhunks 13' footer Kayak. I now call it a ROBOYAK. I've added a 55 pound thrust Salt water Min-Kota motor, a 100amp hour battery, and a Stabilizer to it as well. I took it to Santa Cruz for a test drive and it hanged in there through big waves. It passed the test.
The stability is excellent with them attached. For the nucanoe, it quadrupled the stability. I don’t consider the nucanoe safe to stand, especially fishing. For the Hobie, it is already very stable standing unstabilized. I would guess doubled. Please let me know how it turns out!
