Hey guys! Been enjoying your camp videos for a couple weeks now since I found them here. Its been fun to compare your off grid camp to ours on the east side of the UP. You have a lot more deer over there then we ever see. We made it up for Bear hunting last month. Never saw any Bear during the day. No deer left now at all. A LOT of Wolves... Good Luck next week!

Thanks for watching and so sorry to hear about the lack of deer sightings in your particular area. How long have you been hunting there and what were your deer sightings like before the wolf problem ? Seeing no deer certainly makes for a tough hunt.

We have never had an abundance of deer but we always saw plenty. It was usually a 50/50 chance of seeing bucks to does. We have owned the property and hunted it for about 25 years now. We have a 40 surrounded by state land. It was always better once the snow up north got some depth and the deer would migrate into the balsams and cedars along the river that goes through the area. Used to be a few other hunters around first few days of rifle opener but we havnt seen anyone outside our party for several years in there. We are about 8 miles back in off the pavement so its a bit remote.;)@@campbenny

great vid guys. I hunt NW Wisconsin. started there in 1978. yes, my brother, 2 good friends and I are the "old guys" now. all in our mid 50's. it would be nice to have the younger generation along to do the grunt work, but most of our kids have no desire to hunt. so us old farts still do all the work. keep it rolling... :) deer camp never gets old

Cant wait for part 2! Jealous of that deer camp would love to have one that size. Our crew has went from 15 guys to just 3 in the last few years. I remember those trips north on 75. West branch for breakfast then of to the woods. I'm an avid bow hunter but something about putting that orange that makes it special. Good vid guys

Your observations are correct! It seems like the younger they are the later they rise out of bed. We have a couple waves of risers for the coffee. I usually make the coffee in the morning and Chris watches with a pop in hand lol
