Short install and comparison of the GSE Trail Tamer exhaust vs the stock exhaust. Install on my 2019 Polaris Sportsman 850SP. GSE Trail Tamer Exhaust and HIGH FLOW AIR FILTER. www.gseperformance.com/produc...
That’s a nice machine. I have a 2019 Sportsman XP1000 & absolutely love it. This video will be helpful when I start to look around for exhaust upgrades myself. Oh and you just got yourself a new subscriber, keep up the great content.
Excellent thanks!! That 1000 has to rip! Enjoy it! I have some Hayes fab led headlights I am planning on installing this week. Thanks for the subscribe 🤘🤘 subscribed back👍
Does the gse rust like the stock one? And do you know of any ways to prevent it? I’m looking for a new exhaust and this one seems perfect but wish it had more of a chrome finish to it.
Yeah it turns a rust color, not sure it is rusting more so the mud getting burnt onto it. Sounds great and works great but if you want something that looks good, this is probably not it. Not sure of a way to make it not do that. Even a repaint will probably have the same results after the mud and junk gets burner onto it.
Hello and thanks for sharing. I had a trail tamer on my 450 sportsman and I loved it. I have recently upgraded to a 2022 polaris Sportsman 850, how do you like the GSE exhaust on the 850? I was thinking about putting 1 on?
I like it a lot. Had a great sound, not too loud but definitely louder than stock. No need for a tune. I will say though I do hit the mud and some deep water so it doesn't look the best right now. Has a lot of burnt mud on it. That being said I still like it.
sorry it has been a while since the install so I cant remember exactly, but i believe I didn't have to oil it. I would double check with GSE first though. They are pretty responsive, Thanks!
It is mostly baked on mud that stained it. Same thing happened to the GSE exhaust. It doesn't look that great anymore but works and sounds great. I am actually going to do a follow up video.
SCIENCE! Not positively sure, I am sure it has to do with the flow of the muffler and the internal baffles, I would shoot gse a question and they will give you the real answer
Are you talking about looks? Like the welds don't look pretty? What makes them horrible?? Just curious as to what you are referring to? Looks or function? I will say quality wise it sounds great and still works great. With all the mud and junk I have been through it doesn't look the prettiest but it sure does work.
