Oh, I remember that one! For me as a German fan it was pretty tough to stay up the whole night and when the race finally started the sun was shining already. The things we do for the sport that we love, isn't that right? But it was definitely worth it, Iowa always puts on a great show!

Yeah another non American here,and its hard to stay up but its worth,cant wait for 2022 might be the biggest season

I remember this race very well. I live in the Netherlands and fondly remember me watching this race while my dad got downstairs because the sun was shining bright and it was well into the morning hours.

I was sitting in a 100 degree heat at Lime Rock Park all weekend for the IMSA GT only race and I’m glad that I stayed up until 2:30 AM EST to watch this race (despite me falling asleep for the first 56 laps even though I DVRed the race until 3 AM EST).

I was there, and then drove back to Chicago after the race ended. Got home around 6:30am IIRC

Love that IndyCar publishes old races so that new fans can enjoy previous seasons! However could you not spoil the race by naming the winner in the first line of the comments!

Thanks NNT indycar series, enjoyable, love short oval racing. Dixon, Ganassi brilliant comeback, no cigar unfortunately. Iwoa and barber best races so far in 2019.

It was a quick cell and it was going to stop around 8-9 PM EST but the problem was the weepers despite Iowa Speedway never being repaved and they realized that the weather wasn’t going to be any better the next day and the weather looked clear for the rest of the night and they didn’t want to have a repeat of Texas 2016.

God I'm so thankful for the aeroscreens. These cars look amazing and they look way worse with the aeroscreen, but watching this has me scared even though I know everything is fine. They are so exposed.
