They call it "The King " for a reason. Strip it down , no windshield , or dress it up with one. Best of both worlds. I would ride my King across the country if I had enough vacation time
QueenSit On A Harley all that wind to the chest gets old as well especially when the temperatures drop or gets above 90 degrees. I had and loved my 2010 road king classic, but the 2017 street Glide special will never exchange for a king.
IMO-the road king is there most under rated touring bike HD has. They are powerful, lighter steering, and super fun to ride. Nothing but meat and potatoes. Get a sena if you want music. I have a 2017 RK and love it. Plus there aren’t really that many on the road. Glad you liked it. It is my daily commuter of 95 miles a day. Take care.
It is good to have multiple bikes. One for long trips, one regional and fun. And you might as well have a classic one as well. Great job describing the difference. It's great to have a bike where you are disconnected. Put the phone in the saddle bag and enjoy the ride. Nothing like it in the world.
Hey sis, I have the 2019 Road Glide Special with the 114. You get that same power plus the music. Ride one, you'll really be in love. Road king is my next project bike though. But I 💘 my RGS.
Somehow you made a test drive fun, interesting and entertaining. I think it's just your personality that makes that possible. For years I had a 2003 Road King and I loved it till I got run over by a hit and run driver. He destroyed the bike and broke my legs but all good now..never caught him by the way. I have an Electroglide Ultra Limited now and your right about the heavier front end. It's a trade off...extra comforts in exchange for lighter, zipper feel of the Road King. Love your work.
Love it but still miss the Road King. Had it all decked out the way I wanted it...kind of like you with your bike. You have your way and would miss it if it was suddenly gone. Thanks for asking Queen.
Wow, I have the exact same bike, exact same color! Just changed out all the lights for LED,s. I had a Sport Glide for all of two weeks, took it back and got the Road King Special. I am soooo happy with my purchase! 😊
I have a 2019 Sport Glide. If I were to trade up to a touring frame bike, it'll be a Road King Special. I love the wind hitting me. Especially in Texas heat!
These are the two bikes I’m deciding between. I like the openness of the Road King with less distractions to play/mess with.....BUT I love the fairing, infotainment and the speakers of the Road Glide too. Leaning toward the RG though. Thanks for the video
Queen- I had two road kings ( an 07 and an 11) before I traded my 2011 road king classic for my 2019 road glide special. Thus I totally understand the emotions you are experiencing. The weight difference between the two bikes, and don't quote me, is almost 140 pounds. The Road King is far easier to learn low speed maneuvers on, which are easier to transfer over to the road glide, once ingrained. Thus the road glide has more "upside" once you have learned how to ride, well. And the reason why is because the two frames are identical. I could go on and on but I've been professionally motor trained by a certified Police motor instructor and thus noticed some things about your riding I could help you with, if you are interested. Obviously, you look amazing, on any bike. Take care.
Road King special, not classic, not standard. 12 inch shocks. Chick weighs a buck forty. If you want speed get a ZX-10. If comfort is at all of interest then do some research.
The 114 makes a big difference. I have ridden both road glide and street glide in the same year model in both the 107 and 114. The 114 is basically a stage two or three in your 107. I appreciate your candor, your love for Harleys and your love for riding.
If you want power, Do a stage 3 upgrade to your 107 Road Glide, New Pistons with higher compression, different cam, different pipe, and a new tuning device. If done right your end Road Glide will smoke that stock Road King for about $5000 including labor and dyno tune. You will power and be able to have your navigation and tunes at the same time. Ride on Queen.
Awesome video. Queen it's good to see you get excited about the King. I picked up a 2020 Billiard Burgundy Road King Special 3 days ago. Put 240 miles on Friday and 511 miles on Saturday. 300 more planned today. Just eats up the miles. I've previously owned the 2016 Street Bob. Went to a 2018 Street Glide Special. Went to the 2019 Sport Glide. From Sport Glide to the 2020 Road King Special. I had thought the Sport Glide was the one for me. My forever Harley. Alas that was not the case. Always liked the look of the Road King Special. Decided to give it a go. So far it does not disappoint. I've come realize that the fairing bikes are not for me. I prefer to see what's in front of me. A minimalist Harley with a windscreen is what checks the boxes for me. Take care.

I rode a 2020 Road King Special with those same bars!! I was in love with it too! I still am!! That is the one bike I want more than anything!! Road Glide Special is my next choice!!😉
That’s my thing - I’d trade in my Road Glide for this bike, but I can’t sacrifice the music and extras you get with the shark. LOVE the classic way these RKS’s look though.
I like your bike because it makes more sense. I think you will have to add too many additions to the RK to get it to be what you have with the RG. I am a new rider and bought a 2009 Sportster 1200 before ever riding a motorcycle. My bike is a bit too masculine for my taste. The previous owner(s) did too much for such a small bike. I'm changing a few things to soften it up a bit. I just bought a Kawasaki Ninja to use for practice while the Harley gets a makeover. I have a feeling I will like the Harley so much better with new bars, grips, pegs and paint....and more confidence riding. I won't freak out if I drop the Ninja....lol. Love your swag!
Road Glide all the way! But that all depends on what kind of riding you like to do. We have a tendency to take off on a Saturday or Sunday for 400-500 miles. I hate having to highway ride for long but sometimes you don’t have a choice. I am on my second Road Glide, I love the Road King but I can’t have another bike, lol, and I’m not giving up my Glide.
Queen Sit, you looks as an very experienced motorcycle driver. I would give you every bike, for riding. I would miss also all the goodis, where you get, with a Street Glide or a Road Glide. If you want to add it on a Road King, thats not better. This bike is made, for pure riding only. But funny to ride, and to see the differences.
I would say the biggest difference is that the road King could fit any age. There's a lot older riders on a road glide however don't get that twisted either. If I had the money I would go for the road glide
That’s dope at the beginning when your zooming in on the road king w/ the beats going. I say keep your road glide for long trips, occasional around town, trade your sportster in on a murdered out road king special when you find one. Don’t worry bout that one you test rode, it wasn’t meant to be, you’ll find a better deal down the road. Take it easy! 😉

you can get the handlebar mount kuryakyn sound bar and have ur tunes- as well as a detachable windshield- then you have a tourer for long trips and can strip it down quickly for around town without dealing with the extra weight of the fairing
The nice thing about the Road King is you can use an easily removable fairing so you can add it quickly for long rides, and easily take it off for short rides.
My homie had a Road King but with a fairing. Personally, I think you're gucci either way. If your pleasure is music then stick with the Glide but if you like the old school wind in your face and bugs in your teeth and roar of the engine (Outlaw Biker style) then the King is the way to go. But there ain't nothin' wrong with having both for variety's sake. Wink-Wink! Nudge-Nudge! LOL!!
Your Road Glide is sweet, but I really like that Road King. I would have to ditch that heel shifter though. I'm old school so I don't have a GPS. Good to see a lady riding bikes. The more people riding the better it is for the sport.
Love my 2020 Road King. I put T.A.B slip ons with zombie baffles so now it doesn't sound like a sewing machine. Mine has a windshield and I really like the classic look. I don't need a radio.
Niecy my 1st H-D was a 2011 RKC, before my 2015 RGS. The king is wonderful bike and always recommend it to people. I prefer the regular King with the windshield and the passing lights. Also the regular King has taller rear shocks so it rides smoother. Pop the windshield on for the highway, pop it off for some wind, it’s like a convertible. Watch the world pass by in the fat chrome headlight! Can you tell I miss it?

I love my Road King. In the city it's a cool looking uncluttered bike. Ad a detachable windshield, back rest ,luggage rack, and its the most comfortable highway cruiser you could imagine. Get where your goin, rip the shit off, and its a very cool lookin city bike.
I have the ultra limited 2020 now, the batwing version, but I had a 2017 Road King. I used Google maps and Google Play with a phone mount. It was awesome. Get it if you love it but get a windscreen for cold days and heated grips. I wanted the trunk got traveling but I sure miss the easy ride of my Road King. If I could of get both. LOL
@@QueenSit I love the Ultra because it's liquid cooled so it not as hot in the summer and rides better than the other HD touring bikes with smoother suspension. But it's also a big, heavy bike. Getting the kit that let's me remove the trunk. Should help with that and can put it back on quick if I need it. Take one out and try it. I was afraid of it until I rode it.
The Road King Special is my ultimate dream bike. I'm currently on a 2015 Softail Slim (103cc). I love the nostalgic feel of the bike, which is why my next bike will be the Road King Special. Thanks for doing the review!✊
Both bikes are great. Turns out that Harley Davidson makes Boom! Audio Cruiser Amp & Speaker Kit in black or Chrome colors for the Road King, Dyna series and Softtail series bikes. They also make Saddlebag Speaker Kit for the baggers that's not CVO.
bunch of my buddies have road kings with music, they just use blue tooth. you have to sacrifice your bags though. it will be little to no room. All in All if you can get it setup right, great bike with music.
Green Mount is where I picked up my 16 Street Bob! I was sad when you said Nori got the bike instead of you... I know that feeling of loving something and it getting plucked. I have been thinking about if I want a fering or not (Thinking about adding a club style to mine) but I want higher bars... I was laughing with how wowed you were with it. But between the two... I'd have to ride for myself... sorry, no vote.
I’m use to the road glide and I’m 100% comfortable on it now, but if I went back to when I first got the road glide, I would have been more Confident on the road king
I've had a road glide a street glide and now on my second Road glide (2020 special) and yes the Road King is a great bike but nothing compares to the road glide for long trips!

Road glide all day. You would miss the radio and maps. In addition.... that Road Glide’s fixed fairing cuts out head buffering at highway speeds. At highway speeds ... on the Road King you would regret it on a long trip.
I would say road king if you don’t plan on traveling out of town often. I love the fairing to block wind on the highway, I lobe the navigation system built in on the road glide and the music. I would do the road king for riding every day no problem.
I like the Roadking special, but the standard is best for me with the windshield and smoother ride. I want to trade my 2012 Ultra but the dealerships here are 🤨
I like the king ! You made me want 1 now.. Kings get attention! Im not sure if you guys do it in STL , I’m from the bay.. we get music put on her Kings.. we put speakers in the bags and the leg warmers.
