Thanks for all the fun vids John. We greatly miss you. This channel used to be my highlight of every week. The hours we spent along with you on all of your projects.... great fun man. But we understand passions change, hobbies dwindle, and life gets hectic. Thanks for all of the great times and hopefully we see you post again. If not, we hope you are doing well in life.

Not gonna lie, this chanel made me dream big, but like realy big, took me back to my teenage where we had the chance to play arcade games. And John is so freaking awsome!! I Learned a lot watching those video, you basement is a dream to me too. Where are you now?? Your passion must be still there!

Nothing like the free ball loud knock/snap sound. You can hear that sound through a full arcade in full effect machines going off crazy and you still hear it across the room. Cool table for sure. The light work is awesome.

Video came out great John. It was good to see you and hang out with "Jay and crew". Thanks for the shout-out to my channel. By the way, one of the guys unlocked a "classic" Black Knight mode while playing. It changed the graphics on the monitor and all the sounds were of the classic game. We were all like, "Holy Crap! That's so awesome!". We couldn't believe it. Great pin!

The John's Arcade Show has been cancelled. It was a great run but the network decided not to renew it for another season because of production costs and John's lack of interest. It's over Johnny.

I can fully understand, as a (small time) RU-vid'er myself. John is one of 2 main inspirations for becoming a RU-vid creator. I subscribed to John's Arcade around 2016 and got serious making my own videos in 2018. I'm nowhere near where John is in terms of subs and people who are expecting content from me. But, it can get overwhelming. Especially when life gets in the way: day-job, trips, home projects that need to get done, missing out visiting family/friends, wife not happy all to make a video -etc. Just accept where the channel is today and let him know you love his work and appreciate what he's done already. @John, if you see this post, I wish you the best in 2020! I thank you for all that you've done for the Retro Gaming community. You are and will always be an inspiration to me. That said, I hope to see you active here again, when you have time.

The opening of this video with the black and white and edgy rock music reminds me of the amnesiac Sonny Burnett episodes in season 4 and season 5 of "Miami Vice".

Me thinks John is spending more quality time with his family. Judging from the amount of time he spent on his restorations and videos he didn't have much to spare on his personal life. We never even saw his wife or kids in any of his videos. If he does come back the vids will be few and far between.

You got to work on the part 2 of (1989) TMNT arcade restore.

It's sad to see that Stern is cutting costs so much lately regarding the BOM. Yes the artwork of their pinballs is appealing but the price is outrageous when you match it with the quality you get for it. Replacing the quicklock mechanism to maintain the backbox with two el cheapo bolts is kinda lame. And so is their double latch system to release the lockbar compared to the previous single release handle (they don't even bother to fit them on the Premium or LE models anymore). The manipulation of the playfield is somewhat clunky and a pain in the ass as you have to lift it up, pull it out and then lift it up again. It was soo much easier and intuitive on the williams pinballs when you only had to lift up the playfield and secure it in up position with the metal bar placed at the bottom of the cabinet (just like you would do with a car hood :=))). And the same apply to the upper playfield on these new black knight SoR premium. If you need to service it, you have to unplug connectors, unscrew this and that... miles away from the easy lift up and work underneath as you please encountered on the previous BK2K or even original Black Knight. And i'm not even mentioning those nodes boards which are tough to repair (when possible) if they go bad and require proper SMC tools. If you end up replacing them it quickly costs a pretty penny (as Stern is the only company producing them so far) while it would only take a few bucks to replace a bunch of transistors, LEDs, resistors, capacitors or diodes on a classic Williams to fix most of the casual problems.

Damn miss your videos John. Hope all is well! Come back!! If he is burnt out like other's have suggested I can relate. I have been collecting for 20 years. With 2 kids now it's hard to find the time. I got out of it a few years ago and moved 30 or so games to a storage. Paying 300 per month on a unit. I thought about selling them all. Decided to keep them and now 3 years later I miss them and am bringing them back home. Glad I didn't sell anything. Maybe he needed a break. Sometimes life is in the way.

A great way to turn off your arcade machines is to use a Remote Control Outlet Kit. That is what I use and you just push a button on a remote to turn on and off the machines you want.

It’s been a year to the day since your last video. I’ve always enjoyed your videos. I binge watched the Journey restoration. I forgot how interesting that one was. I really do hope you revive your basement/garage videos. Even one video a month would be awesome. Anyway, just looking forward if/when you put out more videos. Even a John’s Kitchen episode would be fun to watch.

That Black Knight pin looked great. As far as the reviews question at the end goes, think about which ones are easier to do videos on so you can get the videos out quicker. Something like a 1UP is going to take time with putting it together and filming that whole process. Something like the Pacman is just a matter of taking it out of the box and would be a lot less time.
