Did you take the baffles out of the new Vance and Hines pipes?

Yes. It's hard to hear the difference since I didn't place the camera in the same exact position as before the install...but I think the sound is a little deeper.

@@jackklingensmith6703 yeah, the stock head pipe is still in place. Eventually will install complete pipe system, air filter and fuel map system.

Polylove77 the pipes seem to add a bit more growl in “loudness”. But I would say the M8 isn’t a loud as previous Harley motors, so adding pipes is the first step.

How did they sound in person before you removed packing? Did they give a nice deep rumble?

It depends on your setup. I made no changes to the stock fuel mapping. However, you make significant air/fuel changes like, stage 2 or 3, then yes you need to modify the fuel delivery to account for increased air flow.
