Questions for your Q&A: Did you try at all to avoid the mud in the beginning, or did you just say F*#@ it and get your shoes all wet and cold? What did you end up doing about the bushwacking on the shore walk? It looked completely impassable without a machete. What did you do when the trail re-routed you onto that road? I'm impressed that you followed it and were able to get back on the trail. I would be worried on a road walk that you might miss the sign to get back on the trail. Did you have a route mapped on your phone that you could consult with? Do you think it was the cold that zapped your battery? Somebody on RU-vid said to put in in your foot box on cold nights to keep it charged. I've never tried it though. Thanks for the video! Congrats on your FKT!

You did it! Amazing finish time, considering all the challenges--equipment failure and loss of water bottle, knee and toe injuries, mud/rocks/roots on the trail, and having to bushwack a portion, etc. Thanks for taking the time to film your journey and glad you were able to enjoy the Fall color.

bigfoot long time watcher first time commenter lol i watched a video you had for useing things that are multi porpose ..my gear hack is from a car sun screen it requires some self sticking velcro tabs and or 2 elastic bands depends on your set up it requires 1 cut that can be reassembled when needed it is truly simple to use and extremely lightweight and durable and cheap you can cut to fit and easy to replace from ..anywhere ok ya say ya want multi purpose here ya go ..first off it is a waterproof pack cover that is reflective when walking on the desert and the sun is beating down on your pack that transferal to your back then at night as your road walking or as a signal for emergency a emergency sleep pad/blanket a solar oven and a ass pad and a water basin and a rain cover you if ya need it standing in the rain it covers a 80l pack just right all it takes is a 4 folds for the hood thas connected to the pack with velcro tabs so its secure and stay on you thats all i can think right now lol wait ! also to fan a flame.

I finished 180 miles: Split Rock to 270 Degree getting off trail a day before you started. The trail was wet and muddy leaving shoes and socks wet many days. How did you get those Injinji wet socks on in the morning? Did you some foot balm? Did you hang your food? Did you always use designated campsites? I have a Nero and cannot imagine carrying the wright you had. Were your shoulders sore? You used lots of Ibuprofen. Is that safe?

Sup man. Had a question. Have you ever gotton that pain in your knee checked? You described what I've had multiple times and occurs mostly downhill. I've had MRIs done and they can't find a thing. Mine doesn't really come and go. Just stays there and it's painful until I get home and ice them. Then in a day or so the pains are gone. Just curious if you have. Great vid btw.

I did, right away, no issues were found. I think it’s probably the force I put on it that week. Almost 6 months since the hike and I haven’t had an issue

Don't make the mistake most RU-vid hikers are doing just doing Gear reviews that gets old talking to guys on the trail they stop watching guys because of that.. Like Darwin he does a lot of Gear reviews. Guys that I talked to they want to watch hiking not reviews.. Keep HIKING Dude...

Paul Wright I think a mix of both is good but some definitely have too many reviews and not enough hiking. But no one or very few can keep hiking full time and RU-vid wants people to keep making content. My suggestion is just watch the ones you like rather than stop watching people completely.

Well done, congrats. I would love to do this trail. If you ever come to Iceland look me up. I would love to take you on a hike around some amazing places here. I was the first to hike to all the 100 highest peaks in Iceland(in less than 10 months) and it is over 1000 miles of hiking and probably more than 50 miles of elevation gain. Now I have hiked to all the 250 highest peaks in Iceland. I have done the JMT and really loved it.
