@Tempo Archive It definitely is. Why do you think they didn't show a Slomez? I was able to stop the video at a point where his front foot touched down and the disc hadn't left his hand yet. This type of putt should be against the rules imo.
Lee Cox Lol. I’m strangely very proud of her. We went out and played that night, she was straddle putting and pitch putting like she saw them doing and she buried some long putts. Impressing other guys out there. And she doesn’t play much. Thank you Jomez for the inspiration!
TJ Seneca, MD I tried with my wife and didn’t stick. I would have been fine just to play with her but to watch it with her would have blown my mind lol I am genuinely happy or you
I love it when John E. takes a whole (foot on the ground) leap in front of his lie before he throws his putt... I can just randomly pause it during a large majority of his putts and see his heel hitting before the disc leaves his hand. I don't know why the rest of the card doesn't AT LEAST bring it up to him.
Being from Michigan & throwing Discraft, I love hearing discs like the Buzz & Force called at the top of such great playing this year. Burn on, McBeast.
I love Jomez coverage. I guess I started taking it for granted until last week when I had to find Waco Final Rd coverage on another channel. Over 3 hrs of unedited footage. Really helped me see the time/effort you put in. Great job!! Hope you drop the final rd soon. I heard McBeast left scorched earth again. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think people cheer more for the lucky shots because they are fewer and further between than all the amazing skill shots that you pros execute on the reg. We've been desensitized by your greatness. Love watching TDTM, such a beautiful course. Great Commentary Simon and Big Jerm.
I flinched when Uli's Discraft promo popped up as Aaron was in the backswing of his birdie putt on 13. Thank you as always for your standard-setting coverage, commentary, and all around cool colors.
I'm really (perhaps irrationally) annoyed by John-E's step putt. I looked at his putt on 18, and I think he barely avoided a foot fault, but it's by a single frame. One frame the heel looks like it is just starting to make contact with the ground and the disc is still in his hand. The next frame the heel compresses (so clearly on the ground) and the disc is out of his hand. So, if it's that close when you can go frame-by-frame, it's literally impossible for the other players to tell if it's a violation or not in real-time. Edit: typo
It's not irrational to be annoyed when someone is cheating. If you want to take a full step then start a full step behind your lie and plant your front foot on your lie.
Wish I could post a picture, cause the freeze frame I got looks pretty egregious. I'd love to see some kind of rule change in regards to the step putt, very hard to call. I've seen some that look terrible in real-time and are clearly legal in slow-mo. Oh well, what can ya do? lol.
Janne Kangaskesti You are correct! Paul is not just The Man, he’s the slope-man! I got auto corrected, but it’s way funnier now. It sounds like the title of a reality tv show about ski patrol
Looks like Paul might have got that putting stroke fixed... and then some. Currently red hot fire trails coming off of the putter. I’m surprised the baskets aren’t scorched/ melting.
Im watching this with my 3 y.o. and she says "hey look its santa clause" (McCray) so i was like o yea hes good huh?..she then said "yea cause thats what he does all summer" LMAO
I thought it might be too, but going frame by frame, it seems pretty clear that the disc comes out of the hand before his back foot leaves the lie and before the front foot touches in front of the lie.
We’re not cheering for luck over skill. We’re cheering because OB is dumb and you threw an amazing shot, better than anything we can do, and almost got punished for being a foot off or hitting a root and then didn’t because the disc bounced or rolled back in. Great shots should be rewarded. Cheering for luck would be cheering for the one guy that DID go out of bounds by a foot. Not the guy that bounced back in.
the drone footage in this looks stuttery. maybe shoot it higher fps then by down sampling in post could fix this to achieve desired effect. thanks for the content.
22:25 When I hit a top nub I definitely hate it more than hitting a band. I use super soft putters and hitting a nub means that putter might feel different whereas hitting a band just makes a loud noise. The sound a nub makes just makes it seem like my putter got punched in the super soft face.
I'm watching and my wife asks is that Jim from the office? ...blew my mind...never made the connection but she's so right Jerm sounds just like Krasinski
