1970 my first ever racing event British GP Brands Hatch supporting race was british saloon cars first car out Frank Gardner in a 302 boss mustang from that day on that's been my favourite car. Thanks for putting these V8 vids up cos we've got nothing like this in the uk.Long live the V8s
The Pinepac racing XE falcon down the list hits similar numbers down Conrod. They post in car footage, worth a look just to hear what 860hp of Roush Nascar V8 engine sounds like!
@@dustinwarner6594 I used to go up and watch back in the days when these cars were going around .. But Im not interested in the V8 supercars circus so dont go up the mount these days + the telecast is so good now you see a lot more on TV .. but I certainly do miss the good old 70s and 80s racing & atmosphere
Be good if they listed the cars not just drivers and numbers. The cars are the stars, I'd like to know what position the Pacer was in coz you can't read the numbers easily.
The only reason the mustang was so much faster was because the kiwi rules allowed him to have 150 extra horsepower. The fact that the camaro passed him at all is a testament to his driving.
1971 Ford Capri Perana Only about 500 were built with a Windsor 302 motor, Top Loader gearbox and a BorgWarner diff from the Mustangs of the early 70s. Ford South Africa endorsed Basil Green Ford to build a small number of Peranas to sell to the public, which then allowed them to race and dominate the South African racing scene.
@@doogiehounslow1160 I'm pretty familiar with the Peranas as I was building a replica before leaving Australia in 2017. Not sure if the one racing is a genuine Perana as it would be too rare to race as the TCM don't mind a bit of a bash.
This is Bad Ass.... Awesome cars. We dont have this is Ontario Canada. Thanks for the upload. Aussies and there bad ass cars they take it all to a next level
Good to see the Valiant as well. Awesome drive Mr Tilly !. The black Mustang looked fabulous and so the Challenger, Love this old school white knuckled racing
A bunch of kiwis from the NZ Central Muscle Cars class take their cars over the ditch for the Bathurst weekend. The specs between NZ and AU are close enough they can race together.
So cool to see a Dodge remember those E55 Chargers and what could of been ,those mean T/A 340 6 Packs this was the motor for the E55 150 of those motors sent to Aussie for the Charger ,Dodge naughtily underated the 340 Six Pack it was a weapon .Actual power for them was around 380hp
anyone know why some of the cars like the black mustang can have better motors, then some of the other cars? like Johnson's mustang? If he had the motor out of that Black stang he would be untouchable.
That Black.Mustang is built to NZ Central Muscle Cars rules, which are more open than Australian TCM rules, bigger engines, brakes, wheels etc, that Challenger is also from NZ and has a P6 NASCAR engine
Foggs mustang has a 358 Roush/Yates 830HP. Engine... Commentary was bs. It's pretty open rules, Aus cars would've done the same, For goodness sake if it was restricted 650H.P. Fogg wouldn't be allowed in. .
