2019 Toyota Prius Oil Change 

After years of trying alternatives, I love my 3 jaw filter wrench.

Excellent step by step demonstration and not like many other YTers who cut it all. Only I suggest not to fill the new oil filter or only fill it 1/3 or less than 1/2. No mater what, you want the O ring to be oily so apply with finger and you should be good to go with less messing around, as not everyone is fast like you. Thanks again for the good content and Loved it when you suggested OEM filter (Unlike every other clip I saw today) cause the price is not really different but I know how the Fram other el Chepo ones are like... Not thicker than a tissue paper!

I TOO, own a 2019, mine's a Limited. Surprised to see u have a spin on filter TOO. Glad I dont have canister. Great video! Glad u use OEM filter. I was using Toyota oil & JUST bought Mobil 1 for 3 changes. Glad u are changing every 5,000 miles instead of 10,000. I only have almost 20,000 on mine & I have trouble seeing oil on dipstick. Your engine bay ia pretty clean for 85,000! Gave u a 👍'd & sub'd. Please keep us intormed of anything with yours. I will be looking to see your older videos.

Definitely switch to 5k oil changes. You'll start burning oil around 150k otherwise. Unless you're driving cross country on a daily basis.

Just had the dealer change the oil on my 21 Prius. I checked it and it was still fresh at 5000 miles. I did the oil change anyways since the coupons expire based off mileage. I am sure with a high quality oil you can do 10k no issues. I would certainly not do that in a non hybrid vehicle. My 2005 ES 330 would be black at 5k miles.

Nice man. Sooooooo easy! Im gonna start doing them myself. Just got mine about 5months ago. Just did a oil and coolant for the the hybrid system. I have a 19 xle and love this car! Like your color. Question, do you know what and how to change that lightbulb on the headlight, i think its called the driving light. Its that small light above the led headllight bulb.

What do you call that tool that you used to tighten the filter?

Good video, where did you get the filter? Toyota dealer, and how much was it? Not sure about any Fram fitments.

Hi I am new to all this,can you answer my question please - I've got T90915-ZZYM3 Oil filter in my Toyota Prius 2019. Can I still use the one you use ? Because I am having a hard time to find this particular oil filter,I live in UK where can I buy it ? I don't want to call to Toyota since I just cancelled my service with them. Plus they will overcharge as always.... Also he is using Oil 0w16,and My Toyota garage always used 0w20, is 16 better than 20 ? Should I start using 16 instead ? How do you reset your B ? Thank you !!!

Better 4,000-5,000 miles. Also, with a Prius, you should check the oil level when the engine is warm, after it’s stopped for a minute or two.

They dont have that oil maintenance reset function in uk

Pro tip. Throw away the engine beauty cover.
