Janirro! :D I've met him twice in Hungary when he rode for Team USA. I met Ermolenko, Hamill and Hancock too. Had some photos with them and put them on my wall! Also with Ryan Fisher and Rocket Ronnie! :-) Cool guys! Hope to see more of you in Europe. International speedway racing needs the US riders!

It not even close to how it was in the 1970s never be as good as it was during the golden age of speedway .over 10,000 people use to show up at that track for the national championship what they got 500 hundred
Times have changed. But the racers in the new generation are faster than the upright riders. The sport needs new fans. All the fans from the 1970’s are mostly dead. Thanks for watching.
There are promoters working on it developing the talent. Currently Luke Becker has been the one of three Yanks that has turned heads. We'll see. Thanks for watching.
I rode that toilet bowl track many times. I just don't have the ballerina skills.....however, once I got on a real track, like Ascot, I made them work hard to catch me on my Weslake. Costa Mesa always was just a circus with clowns going 35mph around in a circle. Huffman was an idiot. Oxley a real detriment to the sport. I miss Ascot, Ventura, IMS, Irwindale, but not Costa Mesa.
I used to watch racing at Ventura!! One of the guys i went through high school with raced in Europe and New Zealand as well!!! I think that would have been in the early 70's
