just for general information , after a Viking boat is built is there room , or is it possible to put a sea keeper in the boat ??? it does not look like there is room in the engine room there if you wanted to put one in . this boat has a sea keeper under the cockpit . Are Vikings built such that a sea keeper can be retro fitted in the cockpit ? This is really important if one buys a used boat . I think a sea keeper is going to be just as standard equipment as a air conditioner . Thanks for your answer

he showed the seakeeper unit. it was in the cockpit area under the fighting chair. yes they can be retrofitted usually they are put in the cockpit area but a seakeeper tends to be 100k for the unit alone.

Are the engines keel cooled, or are you running salt water through all engines? 1600 ton any Ocean Master.

I don't know but why do you exclude the most common alternative with sea water intake, heat exchangers and glycol water in the engines? Looking at www.vikingyachts.com/main/62EB.asp they mention engine cooling water pickups so that excludes keel cooling. Does any modern inboard engine boat let sea water go through the engines? My guess is that we just didn't see the intake filters and heat exchangers in the video but that they are somewhere. I guess the electric cooling water pumps showen at 4:15 are not for engine cooling, they look a bit small for that.

VERY general rule of thumb. Put a million $$$ price tag on a 40-foot sport fisher. Add a million every 10'. You get around 70', though, and you might wanna add 1.5-million $$$ every 10-ft. That's probably a $5-million boat. At least. I'm sure I'm low-balling it a little.....lol.

I'm looking in the secondary market. 20-years old, sure.....but even with overhauled engines and some upgraded electronics, those boats are ALMOST in my range.......and shorter. But hey.....I'll take a 58' Viking ANY day of the week!

It's such a bad ass boat... but why all the tan/brown ugly upholstery in salon and bedding. Would it kill Viking to hire a interior designer for colorist.. or an Italian stylist.. Guys I get the power love 5200 hp.. however.. no more browns.
