2019 Volkswagen Jetta front brake pads and rotors replacement. 

I think it’s just the rear that needs the caliper tool actually if I’m not mistaken

He used the tool in the video.

@@nikkilewis1473c clamp is what he used but if the rear requires a tool essentially the same thing except slightly different any auto parts store will rent it out

Rust or worn grooves from the bracket rubbing are the most common things that are damaging to the rotors, if they look smooth and clean after removing any dirt on them you probably wont need to change them that time.

Also if your car “shakes” or “shutters” while braking you’re probably due for new rotors

You can measure the thickness with a caliper. Find your cars minimum thickness
