It is a tricky one as most cars dont want to go around it! Downhill, off camber, left hand, big curb.........

@@BenR22 It's not just me then! Especially with the fun police / sorry.. track limits police on exit. I kinda just sweep wide then chuck it in and try and remain as neutral as possible. At least with Paddock you know where you are. Although I almost tipped over in the gravel trap in a Clio a few years ago...

@@jamesbuckingham77 No, its definately something where you can find a strong advantage if you work at it. Use as much of the track on entry to straighten up the corner, cut as much curb as you can so long as your car isn't too 'hoppy' over curbs. Correct your line to run over the rumble strip just post pressure plate so you dont get a penalty, but for your FL or LR attempt you can use the best line and run across the plate. And get off the brakes a bit earlier than normal so you're not trailing an oversteer event to the apex, power early before the apex curb to cancel oversteer.....and off you go!

Hey Liam, thanks for joining and the kind words. I started in karting too and it's amazing, but I think you'll love being in a big heavy car where the frustrations are bugger and so is the reward of getting things just right 👍. I have some videos from the other year in the vault but just haven't find the time or motivation to edit them, I don't feel they're as exciting or interesting. Unfortunately racing has had to take back seat for me these last few years, work and family have taken priority and racing is a selfish endeavour, no matter how you look at it.

I could help with editing if u would like, tho I'm not the best at it and nor have I really done it the best, but I can try😁 I would like to help a youtuber who has me addicted to his videos and wanting me to take on the challenge of racing big cars and ur content is really great to watch and it has me watching them in depth to learn and have enough knowledge of how to race🤝🏼 It's chilled if u focusing on the more important factors of life and gave racing a bit of a pause❤ I have also gave my karting a pause for a year already as racing is needy in terms of money, and I'm taking a gap year so I have loads of time to take on a few projects here at home and if u need help with editing videos. Hope all goes well for u and ur family, work and all other struggles u facing, and hopefully by next year u can be back at racing as there is no rush for u, tho I might just finish all ur videos before next year😂 Thx for the videos and I'm glad I found ur channel🤝🏼❤

@@KKieran98 Thanks man, you're pretty spot on, you have to be constantly aware of everything in the back of your mind.

Success is a relative word, small fish in a smaller pond. There is no one attribute, there cant be or it would be far too easy to be good or great at motorsport. And you require different attributes in different arenas. Hamilton no doubt has significantly more fitness than me, but his technical knowledge is pretty woeful, but he just doesn't need that as part of his repertoire. Everything can be learnt, be it car control, technical knowledge on the many facets of car build/prep/design, mental state and preparedness. It all comes down to how prepared you are to put as much effort into your own success as you can. Some people are more prepared to go further than others, or have more of an obsession, and they naturally climb to the top. Its very hard to beat someone who plain out works you, so as long as you out work others, you can be pretty happy you'll be near or at the top. As for talent, I do think it exists, but its a predisposed nature from childhood exposure. If you didn't have that sort of childhood then it can certainly be nurtured, so long as you're 100% willing to open your mind to every tiny element needed to grow your own talent.

I rate that massively Ben! Very true cause you are similar to me! Like even the slightest tyre pressure drop that car handles like a bag of shit! I rate you massively and understand as me and my pal rally and have build a good few cars! Keep up the content and I am pretty sure I will have more questions and crack to back you up!

The Vtec Challenge is mixed with another championship on the same grid called BARC Saloons where anything can enter pretty much. Its just to fill up the grid with enough numbers.

Yes.... But I so lazy.

I just mount the gorpos on the cage, I use spot metering on the hero 4 but the newer gorpos the spot metering function is a royal pain in the ass to setup..... Impossible on the one touch start. I don't edit the picture at all apart from colour and basic correction of exposure and highlights.

Very much doubting you would suck at it probably be rather competitive your focus is immense, I understand that but you dont need invest that much for one you can just hop on and play with no motion stuff I built my frame myself just have a simple T300 with 3 pedals no shifter just yet

It's quite complicated to get decent quality audio and still requires editing in post.

@@jackmcbeath4305 no, that leads to some pretty awful quality. I record from 3 sources. Vocal has 2 noise cancelling stages, high and low pass filters, level control that I do on the fly in the car, and recorded onto a linear pcm recorder in mp3 format. Took about 1.5 years to get the settings spot on. And then I have to post edit, sync audio and adjust levels in the final video edit. Just recording onto a GoPro sounds like you're shouting in a hurricane.

Ben Rushworth I had a feeling it would be a bit more complex ! Haha, so the pcm is connected to the helmet jack, kind of like a lapel mic idea ? With the go-pro's catching everything else ? Do you use Final Cut Pro as Ive seen the auto sync audio feature do a half decent job, I do apologize for the 21 questions, been messing around with mine for months now and you have it nailed sir.

@@jackmcbeath4305 no I use premier pro, and have to manually sync it! 😂 Pcm for vocal only yea. It takes a while and a bit of money, but for me it's worth it as nobody else seems to be able to do it under race conditions.

It's a mugen, but made by momo.... So it must just be one of their standard range of wheels with some branding on.

YUP! oil pressure wasn't the greatest on the engine and I was too lazy to strip and try find the root cause. So, new shells for 2 seasons and she kept kicking on!
