My favorite whiskey of all time.......the end.

I don't mean to be offensive, but I love the reviews you do yourself. No one gets sidetracked, and you are thoughtful about your opinions. Lyle Lovett--what a great idea for a description. If people would match whisky to artists more, it would be super helpful, especially for people new to whisky!

My personal favorite. It speaks it to me on a spiritual level.

I know this sounds weird but this scotch is so good, I almost wish it was non-alcoholic so I could drink it all day. If you haven't tried it yet, just buy some and get it over with. You know you want to.

So far on my Scotch whisky journey, this is my favorite.

I like the fact that it makes you think. Drinking whisky challenges you, take it or leave it you are free to be what ever what you want to be.

Talisker 10 was the first bottle that I bought as a direct result of things I learned watching The Whiskey Vault. Thank you, sir. (Rex too) It's still one of the best in my collection. Also a fan of TX music.

I just got into Scotch very recently. My first was Macallan 15 double cask, and I loved it. Then I had some Chivas Regal 12 which I thought was okay until later that day I had some Glenlivet 12, which was much better. Today I picked up a bottle of the Talisker 10. Taking it on a camping trip this weekend.

Hey man just want to say I just found this advent calendar and absolutely love it! You have a great taste in whiskey and music as well. Def found some great artists through this. I’d love to see more music mixed with whiskey. Thanks for doing what you do!

Picked up the whiskey after a friend recommended it to me. Its my only bottle in the house and so far im not at all ashamed that it is my only bottle great great whiskey.

I love all of your reviews but this one may be my favorite. I discovered talisker 10 a year and a 1/2 ago and it was specifically because of reviews mainly yours. I think you described it perfectly and I really enjoy that whiskey tremendously. Prices has gone up but it is one of the best whiskeys I can find under the $100 range. Thanks again for all your reviews view help keep it real and informative

I went to the Talisker distillerie last October... they really have a great selection of whiskys. Real nice, spicy, perppery and smokey. We had a great time there ! Plus the island is crazy gorgeous.💙

Yeah I love how dynamic this whisky is... I had a salty and herbal dinner, and as I'm sipping this post-dinner... baking spices, apples, honey... my gosh it's so tasty. A great example of all the fun you can find when you acclimate to peat. As for the live stream, heck yeah, I would love to do that if the timing works out. In fact, I should have some Talisker Dark Storm to crack and enjoy for it.

Talisker 10 may be my all time favorite. To me it is pepper with just enough smoke. I'm always surprised how much I like it when I try it again.

I finally got around to trying this after years of seeing people praise it and I have to agree, it's fantastic. It's interesting to hear you describe it as a chameleon which is in line with my thinking that it's kind of a "Best Of". After my first bottle I thought that if I could only have one, this might be it. It's got a little of everything. Oh, and heck yeah on the Lyle Lovett!

If there was only one alcoholic drink I could have for the rest of my life this would be it.

Talisker 10 holds the absolute top spot of all the whiskies I've tried. Always spectacular and definitely my favourite.

Loved this review Dan. I'm a whiskey novice and purchased Talisker 10 purely as a hunch.

Damn, I’m new to whiskey and I had this with dinner last weekend and thought it was delicious. Now I can’t decide to pick up the Talisker 10 or Deanston 12. Everyone on the T10 comments claims it’s there favourite dram but all love and praise goes to the D12 over on that video’s comments. Help!

I finally got to sample Talisker in a restaurant (Pennsylvania stores do not stock a wide variety of whiskeys). It was wonderful with a meat ragout pasta but also nicked well with a small sweet desert and espresso. Can not stream Christmas day live....been invited out, but maybe (hint) record your stream, Dan

Talisker is a metal band to me. Maybe it’s the seaside theme, but it reminds me of Mastodon (the Leviathan album). It’s just relentless and pummeling. Personally I have a hard time wrestling with Talisker. Hopefully I can figure it out as I go through the bottle

I love Talisker but can't imagine drinking it as the beverage during a full course meal. That's the place for wine or beer.

Question: Should we let Talisker 10 sit for 10 minutes in the glass before drinking it to get all of the aroma and flavor out? I also enjoyed it a whole lot more after adding a couple of drops of water to it.

This I my favourite so far on my whisky trail, but, can someone just tell me if they flavour this thing secretly as it tastes so unlike any other whisky I’ve tried with all those flavours that Daniel described it’s got to be surely ?

All I could taste in the Talisker 10 was leather. Guess I still have a lot to learn. Or are there "bad bottles"?

Talisker Distiller’s Edition was the first single malt I tried. It converted me to whisky. I haven’t been able to get another bottle of the DE, but the 10 yo is a nice substitute and a bottle is always in my shelf. The 18 yo, which I`ve tried only once, is fantastic. In my experience Talisker is a chameleon not only along contexts, the same sip evolves and surprises from nose to finish.

Why was I so focused on that drop of whiskey slowly gliding down the neck of the bottle until it hit the label??

So my bday present was some Talisker Skye. I Love it. Now I know why they describe some peat flavor as "band aid". My next whiskey I want peat, but a different kind of peat. Of course Laphroig and Ardbeg are the classics, however which one would be further from the iodine style of peat. What would you guys recommend.
