I have the 2018 model love the bike I cant imagine changing the settings is even noticed with this much power lol and it goes 110 mph highway no problem all stock too I love this bike I grew up on hondas I have a 2016 crf 450r and the wr is so much better no matter where I'm riding I converted mine to a super moto is awesome. The 2019 WR450F comes with a button on the handlebar to select between two different maps already. The CCU and the Smartphone App just give you the ability to fine-tune the maps you want to utilise, and when the conditions are suitable for a unique set of maps you can just load one or two onto that map switch.
The U.S models don't come with a competetion ECU, a CCU, or the mapping switch on the bars. I have to spend an extra $500-$600 to add those options myself through GYTR.
i would never buy another yamaha i am a mechanic of 35 years and bought a new 18 model and at 500 hundred klm i pulled the forks apart to fit springs to suite my body weight when i pulled apart the forks the inner tube was full of rust and the cartridge bushing has been running over the inner tube and now has scrap marks inside inner tube the bike has been ridden 6 times and the forks look like they are trash the oil was very contaminated with the rust from inside fork tube this is a brand new bike either the dealer i bought it from done the dirty and swapped forks or kyabas quality control is shit i will never buy another bike that has kyb forks in them and i have just bought my son a new yz 125 last week and now i have to strip them forks to make sure they are not the same ,for a new bike this is bullshit , i have now sent the old oil to a lab for analysis
Was für eine Spielerei .... Erst Handy spielen dann fahren , was nützen die drei Modi , die man sonst sicher mit Switch am Lenker wechseln kann Wenn derjenige nicht fahren kann ... Diese elektronischen Spielereien sind anfällig und unnütz .. Gemmelkram und keine Zulassung hinbekommen ist schon arm
I hate the dependence on a phone app. Come on. What happens in 15 years when they don't even make Android or iPhones any more, who knows the future? You will be stuck with the last 2 mappings that were loaded onto the bike. This is gimmicky and limiting.
