A friend of mine who lives in Brisbane took his wife to the GF. Both are ardent NRL fans and she had never seen an AFL game live. At the end of the game he asked her what did she think of the game. She replied "if Geelong had have had that Dusty guy they would have won". All that money going to the expert commentators and their analysis, she summed it up in one sentence.

The Cats played their GF in the first Quarter and a Half. Then, as my 'un AFL' wife opined. "It takes a while for Dusty to get his 'dander up', and then it's all over for the other team." Anyway, the Cats having poked Tigers once too often, it was a case of the Tiger chaos system at work. Cats are big and top position players as per Chess. The Tiges play like 'mad cockroaches' tipped on the Cats. "Ordered chaos". And all this is the winning formula given one ultra star, and the sundry rest, all of whom play the cockroach/chaos game to a tee. [ps. Barracked for RFC since 1939.]

It’s not until you hear a call like this do you realise how rubbish the channel 7 commentary is.
