After the reveal of the S4 Sedan, here comes the facelift 2020 Audi S4 Avant. I went to the Italy to the Bolzano are to take it high up to the mountains. Here dressed in Daytona grey and black optics. It’s a redesigned front fascia with slightly different rear as well. In the interior, gone is the awesome scroll wheel from the MMI, and there is now a big touchscreen in the middle. The biggest change comes in the engine, where it’s now powered by the 347hp/700Nm V6 TDI Mild Hybrid Diesel engine, for the European market.

Sorry for the missing Auditography plates. Blame Munich Airport for misplacing my bag with all my tripods, sliders and the Auditography plates were gone for all my days of shooting in Italy. Luckely Audi supported me with a tripod and slider, since I had my camera in my handluggage, I managed. But with no plates :( Anyhow, enjoy the new Audi S4 Avant!

The diesel was absolutely the right decision for the S4. In efficiency mode you can get down to 5,5l or even less consumption and the engine is very responsive and sporty to drive. The new design is also awesome. The B9 was already a good looking car, Audi still stepped up the game with the new design.

Wrong!!!! The TFSI petrol is the best choice rather than a dirty diesel that sounds like a tractor!

Excellent video as always, even if you didn't have all your gear. As for the car - for 99% of the people diesel S4 is a perfect choice, engine with enough power, good fuel economy and a very nice sporty look.... it even sounds decent. Only bad thing, for me, are those fake exausts, can't stand those things. For that 1% that want fast(er) car - well, you got RS4.

@@jannora4725 With M340i - not a chance, but with the rumored M340D and Alpina D3 - probably. All of those (diesel) cars should have 350+ HP, so it will come down to badge and style preference. I am just surprised that Merc hasn't shown a fast diesel in this class. If I had to guess, soon we will probably see something AMG-ish with the engine from the E400D.

Terrible facelift. I understand the engine change (although I’d prefer the petrol). The new headlights, front bumper, fake exhausts and removal of mmi control are a step backwards. Love Audi but would never buy this over c43 estate or m340i touring. Great video as always though, beautifully shot and still best I’ve seen this car look...

The response of the S4 TDI is not bad, but not as fast as the previous 3.0TFSI (Turbo in the B9 and the supercharged in the B8/8.5).

Still not keen on the lighting designs of new Audi's, preferred the solid lines not the broken lines. Looks cheaper than old ones. Also are the exhaust tips in larger diameter to the petrol version of this car?

I'm currently in my fourth Audi - in a row - and I have to say, I really do not like the new grill on the A4's. Which is too bad as I was thinking that my next car would be an S4. That was before they came out with this updated version. A little disappointed to be honest.

Too many steps backward on this update from B9. Diesel, bleh. New headlights suck, and flatter wider grill further fades away from traditional Audi grill design and looks too much like every other ordinary car.

super silent v6... this car is for men who lose their balls.. no need for emotions no need for hormones... just sterile wham wham wham .... use speakers guys, to "simulate the sound of engine" :D PATHETIC.... it's like yeah.. I have graduated and did my masters, now I'm having family children and wife, just to remember what was my life about I will get an s4... oh .. dammit!!!
