This is my family’s first year building and racing in the modified class. These videos are a huge help!! Specially to people who have not grown up or been involved in racing this class of cars. There is so much to learn and you’ve done a great job with sharing your knowledge!! Keep up the good work!! And hopefully see you at devils bowl again in 2021!!!

Mike was talking about steering box's and he mentioned a Sweet box as an option. Randy Sweet passed away probably a year or so ago. I grew up racing BMX bikes with his oldest boy Troy. I used to be a Michigan correspondent for Stock Car Racing and Open Wheel magazine. I talked with him a few times when he was running a supermodified with ISMA. Randy was a genius and I was lucky enough to get to know him. He raced a super latemodel at Kalamazoo speedway. He was one hell of a wheel man. Randy set the worlds record for a 3/8 mile paved oval. He had an 8' wall of plexi-glass bolted to the passenger side. It was incredible to watch. I'm pretty sure that Kalamazoo speedway still holds the record but with another driver. Andy Bozell I think. This video makes me wish I lived close enough to help Mike on the car. I sure miss working on race cars

Really enjoy these kind of videos. Impressed with your attention to detail, Mike. You didn't "assume" that assembled from Bicknell was correct. Took apart, cleaned, lubricated, and checked for proper fit. Also, installing the motor plate, use of good hardware (Grade 8 or better) bolts. Use of flat and lock washers, where appropriate so things work smoothly and properly, also reducing wear. Many, many years ago, I was involved in Road Racing and went through the same painstaking assembly. A lot of bystanders think you're going extreme, but the bottom line is that your "back side" is the one in the seat. Looking forward to seeing more of the build. Mandee, racing through New York a lot, you must know that Genessee Beer is lovingly known as "Jenny".

You say use grease a lot,, but, won’t it attract dirt and draw it in when cold or run when hot---just saying ,wipe excess off ,or use enough just so it won’t squeeze out . either end.

Mandee love your VLOGs, I only wish we had youtube when I raced. I have been seeing a lot of things I would have used. How about a Vlog on Mikes cockpit while he is driving, brake bias, working the pedals and the wheel. If you already have steer us that way. Thank You.

Love these kind of videos. Keep em comin. Hope u guys kick some butt this season Mike. I think ur an excellent wheel man and I hope the new car shows it for u. I've not been around the big block mods but I have been involved with the u.m.p. style or a.m.r.a. open wheel mods for a long time. They are clip cars though. Usually 68 to 72 Chevelle front clip or metric style like 78 to 85 Monte Carlo front clip. Anyhow good luck

Learned something, I Didn't know you could run a hand operated clutch in a big block modified. Very interesting series so far. Just wish we had something comparable to Big Block Modifieds in California

Already developing a crush on Jenny. Mike, I hear you talk about how brittle the alumanum is, easy to strip or crack. How durable is it through the season? Quick changes and repairs in the pits has to be tough on parts.

Mike said it's fine as long as you get the bolts all the way in through the threads. Otherwise it's usually pretty good as long as you lube them up. Glad you're liking her too ;)

wow awesome video the transmission real small things have changed a lot on the cars since 2007 Bicknell that I have worked on there are so many up grade so now how long dose it take to put one of these car together? thanks for putting an awesome video together where everyone can see how these cars are put together. and mandee I would like to meet mike at Delaware international speedway or Georgetown speedway.thank you I will be looking for #3 video. and as always see you at the races

Can you get a 2 1/2 inch roll cage or a 2 inch cage i see you have 1 3/4 cage just asking i would like a thick 2 inch at least for safty reasons

Mande I have been watching your videos for quite a while and I really enjoy them you do a excellent job. I have a question Mike seems like a really nice guy and knows his way around the race car if he were to be offered a full time ride running the AllStar series in a 410 sprint car would he take it ? Also you guys are such a nice couple and have a lot of fun . What you say about an full time ride in a sprint car?
