After the muffler swap, add a K&N Drop-in air filter. Then you'll notice quite a difference in performance! I did the swap, but with a Vibrant Performance Stainless muffler (rear muffler). Same design configuration, but result is one level louder; never too much or droning but satisfying at the right times.
Well that's how it goes with exhaust systems you really don't know until you change it,that's the big surprise anyway nice work maybe it will grown on you!!
I say if the wife is happy let it be lol. But if it was me I’d just leave it. I also own a 2020 RS AWD and these trucks are dope just the way they come. You get enough noise from the transmission when you hit the gas I think. Cool video bro I enjoy the channel. God bless, stay safe
You need to remove the muffler you just purchased and keep the muffler underneath the chassis. For v6 low sound at low rpm’s and it will be loud at high rpm. Plus change filter to k&n air intake kit!
Yo G! I like it. It has a nice subtle rumble like a Mitsubishi 300 GT. Always liked the sound of those, especially on the interior. Nice, but not not obnoxious. And only $250 installed? She-it! Give it a chance!
Probably hearing a harmonics issue. It doesn't sound bad, but sometimes when you do a simple mod like that it creates others. Probably why certain companies charge so much for a full exhaust, they had to engineer out certain frequencies that aren't pleasant.
@@lbs9254 yes, correct but they held back from including LED brake lights. What's worse, the incandescent ones on Blazer aren't bright by a long shot & barely adequate for safety. They should've done them LED! 🤖
its universals straight trough design style muffler. Im actually selling it. truck was rear ended not too long ago and body shop pulled it because it had bent the tip. I'm willing to sell it for 40 bucks plus shipping. message me at boogieman_racing on ig
you can remove the resonators, but I usually drive the fam around in this vehicle So I decided to go with quieter vs louder. but definitely removing resonators would have made us a bit faster and louder I think
It's unfortunate that our video did not satisfy you. However, here at the gsfootage garage we strive to provide "episode" like videos and not just a 10 second clips; uploaded from a cell phone. _
Hey, thanks for watching and we appreciate the comment. Muffler has actually grown on me! very subtle and quiet with all the performance. The muffler is a straight through design and really distinguishes itself from the stock one. if you haven't seen inside the stock one please take a look. you will be surprised of how restrictive it is. Also, can you please add the link to the first blazer with muffler swap only, I would really like to watch it and maybe compare sounds. I could potentially swap if it sounds better. I have seen the straight pipe ones "muffler delete" but thats not the sound we are going for. Thanks again...
actually after driving this budget muffler for 5 k miles now, I love it. super quiet and a little louder at start up and wot. not bad! I would be down to put this budget muffler on the dyno against a performance cat back and see that the gains will be marginal. Then compare HP per dollar. is 1-2 hp worth 1200 ? on a vehicle that will really never see competitive racing in a serious form.
@@gsfootage5959 I see what you’re saying, I went the opposite route and got a full corsa cat back system and don’t regret it one bit! but to each their own, with the blazer being a sharp suv, having a full exhaust would really let the car sound as it should’ve, straight from the factory. But you got exactly what you were looking for and at the price point you wanted, so i’m glad you’re happy with it!
