Yup good review. I've had mine since November and after both the 118i and the A class, this is the better car.

Hi how do you find the ride ? I’m looking to to get one but concerned as I’ve heard it’s a hard ride with the m sport suspension , I should get a test drive in April but wondered your view ? Don’t want to feel I’m driving on rims ! How was the noise ? Thanks

Excellent review. Most people quick to slate 3 cylinders for instance. In reality no one is bothered as most people finance these cars and are interested In drive quality

Thanks! I've long been a defendant of 3cyl engines as modern turbocharged ones truly do offer performance that is superior to naturally aspirated 4cyl engines.

This is definitely the next car for Volvo V40 drivers that still wants a hatchback combined with practicallity. 3 cylinder or not, I'm really supprised how quick and smooth it shifts gears in a manual gearbox.

Great review👍🏼I have the F20 118i M sport 2019 like you said a more inspiring car to drive ( and better looking in my opinion)but I test drove this new one and it felt very premium and really nice to drive.

Thanks! You're spot on there - the new one certainly does nail the premium brief and is a nice drive, but not quite as inspiring as the old RWD one (especially the 125i which I used some old footage of here) I've actually got a review coming out on the brilliantly quick M135i version of this new 1 Series this week as well, so stay tuned for that!

With all the added options it’s certainly not a cheap hatchback, a premium small car, you pay for what you get.

Very strange to think mini supplies BMW with engines. It’s the other way round actually. Oh... and the heaps of power is only required if you have a lot of weight. A very mixed understanding of the technical background and that usual obsession with large engines and power over dynamics and driver ability.

Actually not. Mini have their own engine plant in Oxford and Birmingham U.K.

whoever says the 3 cylinder engines makes good sound must have a bad taste. A car review with zero negativity and dislike in the whole video is not a good car review. BMW is selling a 1.5T 3 cylinder for almost 50k. Come on.
