For those interested, I did a review of my friend's 2023 M5 Competition... What a cool experience! Check it out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AbYQ4C5l_Fc.html
So, "not a true M car" is interesting. While it's not an M3, it's very much in the M family. This was the first year that the M division actually owned the build. It was not just a 3-series with M sport badges. In that sense it's an M car, the issue is the M community has a slight ego problem.
I just leased a new m340i a month ago. My fourth Bimmer. I definitely agree with your entire review. They are just plain scary fast, a real visual sleeper.
It's great to see Kevin Love doing something new. In all seriousness, thanks for doing this, man. It really helps since I'm just about to lease this car.
I like your exterior mods! I have an M340i RWD and love it as a daily. My commute is mostly highway but I can go about 80-85 MPH and still average 30 MPG. Not that it matters much. I've also owned an E36 M3 which was compact and tossable but not powerful. My E46 M3 was more refined and powerful. Wish I still had it.
Hey man, great video! Would you mind doing a full walk around of your car? I love your spec and what you've done to it. I'd really like to see all the changes you've made. Thanks, keep it up!
You said you leased, any worries about the mods you are doing? I've always worried about doing mods to a leased car. However, leasing is pretty much all I do because I like getting a new car every 2-3 years for fun.
I've got an F30 335i M Sport, it's been a great car. In a year or two it'll be time for something different and this vehicle is pretty high on my list.
@@G20T i am mostly satisfied for the past 4 yr of ownership. The only issue i have encountered, The driving assist auto steer sensor gone bad once, but dealer fixed it under warranty. Nothing else. The gas is killing me though.
I loved this car so much after the test drive that I ordered one for European Delivery for this fall. Because of COVID-19, I had to defer my delivery for one year!
I just saw an article yesterday that said BMW is ending the European Delivery Program. I was planning to go next fall for the new M3. I have a call into my dealer and am waiting to hear back from them to see if they'll still let me do it if I put down a deposit now. I hope you are able to realize your trip.
I had an E46 325ci and I recently got this as well. I hate new grill too lol. Anyway curious of you find that this satisfies your e46 taste like it did for me. I'll buy another e46 some day but I love this car
I have been looking at the CLA 35 AMG or the M340i as a daily. I am pretty sure I'm going to get the M340i. The only thing that really ticks me off is the lack of android auto!
@@laurent36 not yet ... got spooked by the pandemic. I think I'll wait till next year to see if things get a little better... crazy times we are living in ...
Hi, I see a couple of people have already asked this, but can you please give the link where you got the front lip from? Also, as someone else mentioned, you said it's a leased car, I'm also curious to know if you drilled any holes in the bumper for the front lip?
I've got an M240i right now with a baby on the way, looking at this for my next car. I've never owned an automatic though, but the M240i is the first manual I owned where i thought my shifting ability was too slow for the car, how do you like the auto transmission? I hear the Zf is pretty damn good? I also have mineral grey, can't imagine doing another "color".
Hey man, I am thinking of getting a used m340i used. Would you recommend it I am just concerned about reliability because I would want to keep this car for awhile? Has yours been reliable and is it worth it to pick one up to keep for awhile?
I’m sure it’s a goo daily bro I mean as long as you keep up with your oil change and spark plugs you’ll be fine the b58 is a bullet engine it’s in the Toyota Supra is Toyota wanted it you damn well it’s a good reliable engine.
Honestly I think that’s what most people dislike about Chargers in generally too. Dodge needs to do a proper redesign instead of adding new packages and new trims.
How’s the reliability on these newer models? I’m considering this car but would like to keep it for about 80k+ miles or over 5 years and don’t want a car that will grenade itself
How are you liking your q50? I use to have a 2019 got rid of it due to lack of old tranny an tech. Good power tho..I have a 23 X3M40i I love it. I am never going back to infiniti. I am leasing my x3. Thought about a JB4 but don’t want to ruining the warranty. I know its been 2yrs since this post tho lol
@@Mr.Lambert777 love it. Lucky the 20’ model came with new infotainment and Bluetooth apple car play. Made it feel somewhat up to date. Def not as much of a drivers car compared to any m/m40’s but I still fall in love every time I drive it.
I used to have an E46 (not an M3). To me it was the perfect size. I know the G20 is 10 inches longer (almost the size of a 5 series 15 years ago). Does it feel that much bigger when you drive it? The reason I am asking is because I have a C43 now (1 inch shorter than the G20). It feels big, heavy, and hard to see out when driving. I just don't like. I never said that about the E46.
I sell them. Good question it feels way smaller because the body is so well controlled it's a blast and extremely well rounded. Always puts a smile on your face
@@MrDroid0518 - I'll have to test drive one of them. I was hoping the new 2-series coupe would have been out by now. It looks like it will be the same size as the E46
What do u do for a living this my dream car nothing to crazy but a fast enough daily driver … sexy modern new tech / interior headlights are sexy 😰 I’m in love
The car is like 10 grand too high at most. These cars are just beautiful. This car is a hit and I know it because I'm seeing loads of these cars at euro meets. I still wouldn't prefer it over my e92 m3 zcp because of the V8, DCT, design, and feel.
So I want to trade in my 2017 Infiniti Q50 for this bmw but I’m very hesitant due to a lot of ppl telling me how unreliable they are and the cost of fixing what plastic parts may break is high. I have a career and make close to 100k but again we all have bills to take care of and I’m worried about getting the car and getting the I told you so lol any bmw owners want to chime in on their experiences owning one for a couple years already ?
The B58 is undefeated in the inline-6 category. Won multiple awards for 'Engine of the Year' too. Any engine has issues but when you compare the stock power and tuning capabilities this engine has; it's truly amazing.
@@excusemeforbeingsorry hey I ended up getting a 2020 m240i ! I’m very happy with it and love how quick it is !!! The sound of the engine is amazing !!
@@edgarm8933 Glad you're enjoying a fantastic engine! I'm quite stocked you ultimately decided to get a B58 nonetheless... Even if it wasn't specifically a 3-series like the g20 in the video, the m240i is surely a pleasure to drive!😁
@@edgarm8933 Great choice sir! Would you ever consider an M car since you kind of own the baby-M? Edit: Have you considered doing any performance tunes or have you kept her completely stock? The M-performance package on them cars sound fantastic by themselves to be honest!
@@marccandrift Don't forget taxes especially with NMD. With 62k MSRP; 12k mile a year, total will cost $800+ and some change a month (tags and all those stupid fees they finally add on) if you really want to enjoy the drive without mileage worries. Wear and tear warranty to cover those M breaks and tires tot $850 (Monthly payment). The cost depends on whether you want to just drive the car few times a week, or you really want a daily driver everyday of the week without worry of major wear repair. If you must do it, do it right.
Mine is 640/mo. Insurance is 230. Assume I’ll be over on miles at the end of my lease and tack on $30/month for that. So looking at about $1k month all in.
Do some research, like google "G20 lease deals" and check the bimmerpost link and leasehackr.com link and the edmunds lease thread for the M340. I have a fully loaded M340i (minus the tire and cooling package) and before tax (which in my state is paid up front) - I pay $580/month. Was 10% off MSRP (MSRP was ~$68k) but I've seen larger discounts, as much as 12% off MSRP. You need to do research and a little bit of work but deals can be had!
The man paid top dollar for this car, his allowed to do whatever he wants with it, hell hang a bikini for a grill, your job is to thank him for shared experience period. Btw i love the splitter.
if only the m340i came standard i would like it a little more but ill have to wait for the g80 m3 standard or unless all versions comes in standard and yes im pure like that edit: only the 318d comes in standard witch sucks because i prefer a standard 318i over the standard 318d... M or not if its standard its fun and cheap for me to play with
