The size of the workforce has also grown substantially at Plant Spartanburg, from an initial 500 people in 1994 to more than 10,000 people today - with another 1000 expected to join by 2021. A 2017 study by the University of South Carolina finds that for every 10 jobs that are directly generated at a U.S. BMW facility, an additional 90 jobs are created elsewhere in the U.S. economy as a direct result of these BMW jobs.

We are going to pick up our 4th BMW in a week, saw a new Cadillac SUV in the mall today, gaps in panels- didn't even line up. GM assembly can't even match this.

I bought a 530e a few years back it was built in Germany and let me tell you it was a solid solid built car I guess it's the materials they use or idk but the steering even down to the body of the car was built top notch

Usty you have hit the nail on the head! Hire and fire it is termed in the U.K. Unfortunately, the economic situation in the U.K. and many other countries allows big business to exploit employment laws and treat people as dispensable commodities! I guess you could tell a tale or two about the build quality of the X5 as much as I could do about the Range Rovers, Discoveries and Freelanders I used to build!
