Everyone waiting for the escalade, I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. I understand the body on frame point you bring up but thats 1 category you are considering. I hope you guys have seen TheStraightPipes review on the escalade. The rant that jakob went on about rattles, squeaks, build quality and other things like the infotainment system. Escalade is definitely a head turner but if I am spending 100k on a car. It better have all the "quirks and features" that these 2 cars have and it better not be a rebadged tahoe.

I always liked it, looks better on the X7 than on the "regular" 7 series as it is much bigger (I also like the grill on the 7 series though)

Just the engine is different; they are outfitted quite the same (look at the sound system of the GLS and other stuff) and the engine thingy is already explained in the beginning. And the GLS 63 AMG has no direct counterpart the otherway around (no X7M) - BUT you might take a look at the Alpina XB7 :)

Its the same interior as in a 1 series what you love about it. BMW as a top engine and trim drives better, in every oyher aspect the Benz is better.

I have an Honda Accord sport 2.0 t with both. And it really is a gentleman's type R, but you're right about infotainment car systems in general most of them suck unfortunately!
